Sensitive skin girlie here. I have to wash my face immediately after working out or I'm guaranteed to break out. As others have suggested, wear a long sleeved tee or sweatshirt over your workout top so your coat doesn't get sweaty. Also, maybe stop wearing perfume on your wrists & see if it helps w/the eczema because that's another issue I have, but on my neck.😊

Katy tip for the jacket. You just need to wear a sweater or a thin workout jacket over your workout tank when you’re done with your workout. This way your jacket or coat don’t come in contact with your skin and the sweater/workout jacket are easier to wash.

good for you for trying new things! however, it would be really really beneficial if you also took a regular yoga class alongside the hot one. idk how great hot yoga is for people who don't have a strong foundational yoga practice. i think it's led to a lot of repetitive stress injuries for people! i would imagine it's really challenging to stay mindful of what your body is doing when it's 98* and you're sweating and dehydrated and it's dark in the room. (i say this as someone who's been practicing a combo of iyengar/ashtanga/vinyasa for upwards of 15 years and has a teaching certification too.)

Hey Katy, happy Monday! I am wanting to learn how to cook. My mom has a crockpot. Do you recommend an easy recipe to start with? I am from Long Island and I hear ya, I really miss the sunshine.

Wishing you a good week ahead!!! ❤

I was obsessed with hot yoga years ago, and now with a small pre-toddler, I just don’t have the time to go as much as I’d like. But there is no better feeling than post hot yoga session. Ahhh especially a later evening right before bed!

Just be careful how closely you eat before a hot yoga class! I had a snack but too close time wise to class, and I had to leave I was so nauseous! Lol

I love a cute Nike half-zip or vintage tee shirt between my workout top and my coat. I also wear a hat on the way home so I don't get chilled/ear infection from the sweat on the way home. Spin class is so fun too! Like clubbing, but athletic 😀 . <3

Hi! Fellow eczema sufferer here 👋 If you’re getting patches on your wrist it could be due to perfume if you spray it there! I found out my perfume was making my eczema way worse so just wanted to share

I fell in love with hot yoga in September. It’s so relaxing and I feel amazing after. As someone who is also a perpetual weightlifter to get in my exercise, it doesn’t make sense on paper, but I think more people would like it if they have it a chance. I will say, I do only really have one instructor I love.

Hi friend! Active yogi here – the breakouts are most likely caused by your new journey into corepower! At least for me, once I start practicing hot yoga after a bit of a break, the amount of sweat causes a bit of a purge for my skin (+ dirty yoga mats and lots of sweat can clog your pores). What has helped me most has been cleansing my face as soon as I finish my practice. And your body should regulate soon after that! Hope this helps <3

Katy, I love the vintage vignettes you did over the videos of you modeling the rings. Where did you get that overlay? Side note: love your vlogs. This one was a very happy addition to this otherwise cloudy cold Monday. Thank you! 🥰
