I’ve gotten so sick and tired of people finding out that I’m vegan and instantly thinking that it’s for weight loss/health. Just lately, I’ve had two people say things along the lines of “oh I heard you’re vegan! clearly it’s working because you look great” and I’m just so tired of explaining myself and others commenting on my body that I can’t even bother

Fruits have seeds in it or on it like a strawberry and grows on a vine or bush or trees or cactus. Vegetables flower to seed like herbs. I'm not a vegan but I don't mind eating vegan sometimes. The 1990s vegan is different from the modern one. Some people can go all the way modern vegan but maybe others just can't because they tried. I watch vegans for ideas for the vegan meals I do eat.

I completely agree with all the points you've made. I'm going to continue to use the word vegan; I can't control how others feel about it. I can only lead by example.

The reason people dislike the vegan community is because they see them like "THE VEGAN TEACHER" instead of explaining why saving animals are important and choosing to eat healthy helps not only with your health and planet etc etc… she instead shames meat eaters .. in other words the people see the vegan community as meat shamers and will "cry" if it doesn't go their way.. that is not to say that the vegan community is like that but many vegans did started this little fiasco thus cussing misunderstanding.. you know like the name KAREN and what it means to be a KAREN when in reality not all karens are crazy entitled white women with bob haircuts asking for the manager all the time..lol

Agree with everything you said. Your frustration is so valid, it is definitely a frustrating situation. You are awesome though and thank you for all you do! Food looks so delish as always!

In the end i have found that people just don't want to be reminded what they are doing. They don't want to have to think about it, thus hearing vegan or plant based makes them upset because then they feel pressure to DO something about it, and that IS HARD, much harder than pretending like a group of people are just too preachy. Then you watch a video about 'how bad' veganism is to reinforce your bias.

I use the rice spoon/paddle to spread on the rice and its quick and easy to do. I then use a small bowl of water just with my finger tip, wet the edge seam of the nori so when i roll it, the nori sticks to itself and seals. This looks so good and making me want to go home and make it right now!

Eating your Sundubu Jjigae recipe right now. First time trying oyster mushrooms was a nice suprise. Love the Soondubu jjigae recipe. Still looking for Gochugaru so I used gochjajang instead. Having the yellow pickled radishes this time, next time i will try the white pickled radish.

what you said at 23:18 is sooo true. It has gotten to the point where people lump veganism with environmentalism. People assume the only reason anyone would go vegan is to protect the environment which is why people always bring up the "environmental impacts of importing plant-based food and stuff" (even though there is basically none) I am not trying to sound judgy but I hate how people have forgotten about animals to the point where it is absurd to be vegan for the animals
