I moved 3.5 years ago and I haven’t got my kitchen right. I find the bigger the kitchen the harder it is. I think I need to take everything out f the cupboards and have a good sort out.

For those display windows you can get some seed packets of course no seeds in them. Tape or glue a few of them down on a cardboard big enough for that window & display them that way. You are bringing beautiful gardening in the home & as decor. Plus if you find something to put in there the items won't be shown. Just a suggestion.

I feel like those 4 display cabinets were ether for flour, sugar, oats where you could display the bag picture? or for produce like potatoes, onions where you would put 1 in the front to know what's in the drawer? unless it is some kind of really fancy cabinet I have no clue LOL

Trying to get your kitchen organized and setup is SO my life right now … My father passed (six months ago) and I inherited his house … I'm trying to make the kitchen into a space I can work in since I will now be living here, and NOTHING fits where I want to put it … either the counters are too small, or the cupboards are too short … I'm constantly having to cross-circuit to plan B and reassess

I was worried for a sec that you wouldn’t be able to find your kitchen aid stuff or something because you don’t immediately see it but then I remembered how you said you went back to watch your garden videos to see what you planted where, so hey, you’ll essentially have an itemised list of your kitchen stuff and where you put it, in the shape of this video 🥳

Hi Becky! With the knife situation: think of it like this…you'd be getting your daily steps count in with that kitchen set up. #SilverLining It is a strange set up though. But I'm sure that over time you will work it out for the best. 🙏💚

Two thumbs up with those spices displayed on the shelf. Makes it easier and quicker when your cooking and we all know girl you can cook. Also easier and quicker clean up and the ability to know when and what you need to restock. IMHO it looks nice too.

I wonder if switching and putting ur bins of flour and such into the false front drawers and the bowls and bakeware into the pullout drawer would make it easier to get to things. The pullout drawer is definitely nice for the bins, but i think youll find it hard to get to ur other items.

Have Josh flip those wire shelves, then get clear acrylic cut to go on top of them. You'll be able to see what's up there, there will be a lip to keep things from sliding forward, and the acrylic will make a clear (so you can see), flat (more stable) surface.

Hey Becky- why don't you try putting the flat kitchen aid paddles into the glass front section of the drawer where you put the kitchen aid attachments? Kinda like a label…

Congrats on success of your channel, your new house, and now the baby….life is sweet. I agree on your decision to NOT make a baby a prop on your channel. You and Josh are going to make great parents. You have enough energy for a sports team. Best wishes.

    Hi Becky,
I’m hooked on everything. I love the approach that both you have on getting things done. Love watching both of you and your whole family.
I have a suggestion for the glass front drawer.
How about displaying your collection of aprons. Love seeing you work.
My apron says” Born to shop, forced to cook!
You have been inspiring me to enjoy cooking in a whole different way. Love how you do everything with such passion and able to laugh at yourself when you have a. Blooper.
Thank you to inviting us into your lives 🙏🏼

Believe me. You we’ll put stuff where you think it’s a good place but, later you’ll rearrange stuff once or twice again till you figure out exactly how you want stuff.
    It happens. Good luck.
Remember you have your basement for food.

The black paper placed on the inside of the display drawers is a good idea. Also would it help if Josh can remove the knife and cutlery organizers from that drawer. You may be able to use them in the space you are dedicating to knifes and other cooking utensils.

Becky, if I'm not mistaken, those cabinets match the basic cabinets available at lowes or home depot. Very often they have those available on the floor with great reductions, especially lowes. You could remove the microwave box and that one set of open shelves and replace them with cupboards for a few hundred dollars. Also, remember heat is the enemy of food storage. Put the seldom used appliances on the top shelf and your oats and foodstuffs on that under shelf. Love ya…enjoy the process!

Having recently moved into a new kitchen myself, your plan should be to find good homes for everything FOR NOW. As you work in your new space, you will learn how you utilize it, you will find the homes that work best for you. And don't be afraid to rearrange things multiple times. It may seem like a pain now, but you will end up with a space that is very functional FOR YOU. As for the glass front drawers, how about placing one of your favorite/prettiest/most used cookbooks in each? Love the new place and am so happy for you and Josh!

You've done a fantastic job. Believe me, you'll be moving stuff around for a while until you feel comfortable. The false front drawers can house favorite cookbooks, place some small hooks to hang measuring cups & spoons. I think those drawers were used to house veggies, flour or grains. I saw something similar in a farmhouse tour. Of course nowadays we can be creative and use for other things. Be well.

The wire shelves are easy to remove for cleaning. I would take mine down. take to the shower and spray them with cleaner and use a designated bottle brush on them. rinse off, wipe dry if in a hurry. Done!
I would have kept a couple of the bigger boxes taped up to stand smaller boxes in so they're contained and easy to move.

Might be a bit late to it but if you going to move the microwave and put the coffee pot there on that counter put all your coffees, teas and mugs in the cupboard above it as then you not walking to the other side of the kitchen for say a mug and then the other side for your coffee, and maybe for those glass draws remove that piece of wood so you can see into the draw and maybe put your tea towels and pot warmers into the draws

You can buy decorative cling film that's beautiful, easy to apply, lasts for years and in any color or design you like for those false front doors.
I bought mine from home depot and they literally had hundreds of choices.
That would solve the decorative issues and give you a touch more space for smaller items.

Becky!!! I love watching you, I would highly recommend in those deep drawers, turning your baking trays/ other cooking items and using vertical space instead of stacking everything on top of each other. easy access and visually pleasing. 🙏🏻❤️
