Air BNBs are notoriously under equipped, especially in the kitchen. If I’m driving to my destination I always travel with a “kitchen box.” It’s a flat-ish Rubbermaid tote that’s not too big so it’s easy to bring along. In it I keep 3 cast iron pans, a small cast iron griddle, 2qt and 1qt stainless steel pots and lids, knives just like the ones I use at home, various cooking utensils, commonly used spices, salt and pepper, aluminum foil, zipper bags, measuring spoons and cups, and a bunch of other things. I even keep an apron and a few dish cloths in it.

The only thing I can’t fit are mixing bowls. It takes some organization to get everything in but it’s worth the effort. It has been a game changer for cooking while traveling! Everything lives in that box all the time so I’m not having to pull from my regular kitchen gear to fill it when I travel. If you travel a lot, especially by car, I highly recommend putting one together.

I learned something very important from your video – my next home away from home event, you're invited! Oh, if you want to know what to bring, yourself, your planning expertise (send me the shopping list) and your ability to do all this. Yea for us!
