One of my favourites is "Champ" Mashed Potatoes with Spring Onions mixed through it, your green ones would be PERfect for it! I love it served with Sausages and Peas or Green Beans. I'd have no problems diving into your Turkey Bake either though.
l make a concontion l call turkey dinner soup, what ever is left over l through it in a pot, turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry, mashed taters, veggies, also cut some pickled beets up into tiny pieces, and just add some broth/stock or water, and freeze what ever is left over, and OMG it is the best soup l have every made.
I have been making this for years, my family loves it. Yes, your right add whatever you have in the pantry its one of those dishes there's no right or wrong just yummy. Comfort food! Thanks for sharing.
Love your shirt, love your oven mitt…ahem. lol The casserole looks amazing and βHowβ wonderful to have dinner on the table when you walk through the door.
Now I'm hungry thanks a lot looked really good. It's a good hearty meal and will make you sleepy. Howie is looking like a wild man with him hair I think he needs a shirt that says don't look at my hair. lol Love you guys hope all is good for you. Almost race time go get em Howie and Bev.
I volunteer at the local senior center, in the kitchen, and they had instant mashed potatoes that were PELLETS!!! Looked like rabbit poop! It was weird!
Have you ever tried Mayonnaise in your mashed potatoes? It makes them creamy and delicious! My Mother always did it, now me and my kids do it too!! GOD bless
Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. It reminds me of a recipe my Momma would make with the leftover turkey. Momma use to boil her turkey remains and let cool and get the meat off the bones and chop it up and put it back into the pot with the broth and add some chopped up scallions or sweet onion. Cook till the onions was tender and add some salt and pepper, if needed. We use to eat it with some fried flat cornbread (lacy cornbread) and some baked sweet potatoes and boiled field peas or butterbeans.
My Egyptian Walking Onions save me all the time. They are delicious cooked in the crock pot with white beans. I cook this meal on days Iβm busy gardening.
You did it again!! π§‘
