Great video! I have joined 2KK BBBE challenge and have surprised myself that I have been able to do this for a week already!! One of the things I am doing is coming here and checking all of your BBBE recipes again. You are one of my trusted sources for "on plan" recipes and I so appreciate it!!❤

I can spend max. €5,- per day on my meals and that is total. So incl. salt, peper, butter, oil, egg white powder… etc. And there are lots of people who have less money. I am not complaining, cause I get by. But you can spend way more than a lot of people. I am 5'1 long (+/- 155 cm), a pound of meat is to much for me. Dr Boz says about 1 gram protein per your lean weight in kg. I eat around 60 gram protein per day.

I love the Tuesday Talks. Please keep them coming.

I'm doing the 2KK BBBE, using your monthly tracking chart and BBBE bun recipe. I'm breaking the rules and tracking my glucose/ketones and Dr Boz ratio.

Miss Anita; I finally went to Costco for some pork belly. Oh, It is so good. While the air fryer was still hot I put in 2 lamb chops. They look good, but are still cooling off. I also got some beef ribs. Thanks again for all your videos!!!

Awesome. I’ve only been a ketovore for aprox 1 month, previously keto for 10 months. I also do Intermittent fasting 20/4 daily, plus once or twice a month I fast for 48 hrs. My T2D has gone into remission, I have been taken off of hypertension, diabetic meds. I’ve dropped 65 lbs and maintaining for 5 months now. I haven’t been this healthy since my preteen days, 65 now and living the good life because of inspirational people like you.

Nice talk! I think another reason people are hesitant about Keto is regarding some of the staple foods. For example: I have mixed feelings about Bacon. I've heard Dr. Berry and others who claim is healthy. I cannot get special low-processed, so the bacon I buy is from grocery, even though I select no/low sugar. Clearly, it is a processed (highly processed?) food. I try to avoid highly processed foods on principle – so I don't know if healthy or not? I eat it infrequently. I do get Pork Belly and cook that – but Dr Berry says is not as good as Bacon, something about the processing?! In any case, most Keto YouTubers are focused on weight loss and my focus is Diabetes/BGL control, and this does not always match. For example, high amounts of protein (unless carnivore – no carbs) can be an issue for diabetics (gluconeogenisis – spelling?). But the Keto videos are interesting and I can often learn a useful recipe or cooking technique. I find that I save money in comparison to pre-lowcarb – all that processed food was expensive! Plus the prep/cooking/shopping time was much more.

I have no problem meeting the minimum. I enjoy my carnivore WOE that I’ve been on with no cheats for the past 1.5 years. I feel good with great health markers, this month I’m doing BBBE just to see how my body reacts to that. I already lost over 100 years ago, I’m just maintaining.
It’s way cheaper and way simpler.

Good points! I can do ketovore, most dinners being steaks on sale, for $180 US/month, 1500 calories per day. But consider: I just had lunch yesterday with two good friends who, like most of my friends, are diabetics on insulin and Metformin. One was suffering with a gout flareup and on two meds for that. Both are on BP meds. And what will be the costs if one day they go blind or get vascular dementia from the Type 2? I pay exactly $0 for 0 meds. So…. maybe not all that expensive in the long run? Nor probably in the short run, because I used to run to the dollar store every 2 days for chips or pop or candy or donuts and spend an extra $3 or so each time. Cravings are gone, so I'm never at the dollar store any more.

Here in Oregon I picked up Labor Day sales, I always check out my local stores Wednesday ads. $1.54 for )ground beef, $5.95 for rib steaks, $2.99 for sirloin steaks. There are limited quantities usually. I also check out the marked down bin. Father Day I got chicken wings for 99 cents a pound! I don't plan ahead, just go with whatever I find. Eggs $2.22 for 18 plain wrap. I started Sept 2 (had to finish the 98 cent Tillamook ice cream!!) I'm doing BBBE & C (hwc in my one brunch 'coffee experience' with stevia) I'm down 8.8 lbs!!??? I'm shocked! At 76 losing has been so hard…and I cheat…yes, cheat…Afternoon Tea, Birthday celebrations etc.

Another great video! I'm joining you again this month. I did so well with the BBBE last month. Here's something I tell folks who say keto/carnivore is to expensive. Next time they go shopping add up the bread, chips ect. This will be the extra $$$ you'll have to buy good cuts of beef, tasty butter and bacon🤭

Hi Anita! Great info! I did carnivore for a couple weeks, and there was no way I could eat a pound of meat a day for some reason. I could cram and egg or two down every day, though. I decided to go back to strict keto. Either way, I like this way of eating. It's satisfying to me! I'd imagine eating the good old American diet is just as "expensive" as Carnivore. I've seen prices on processed foods and loaves of bread.
I was wondering if you ever eat sardines. I want to try them. They're supposed to be an excellent source of nutrients. I have to work up the courage.

    Blessings sent!

How can I eat a pound of meat and four eggs a day? I am doing 2 meals a day. I manage to eat 2 eggs, 3 bacon and maybe half pound of meat for second meal. I get so full, also sometimes I don't even feel hungry. I was always a grazer, which I have stopped. 🤤

Carnivore IS cheaper than standard AMERICAN diet! My grocery receipts from years past PROVE IT. One (average) example is for 72 items: including meat, fresh veggies, fresh fruits, dairy, canned goods, breads & buns, frozen items in several categories, chips & sodas— DOWN TO 6 items for Carnivore. 1 3lb roast, 1 pkg of 4 beef short ribs, 1 rotisserie chicken, 1 pkg bacon, carton of eggs and butter. I too eat a pound of meat a day! I’m more satisfied, I feel healthier and I’ve lost 20 lbs eating this way. (In my first month!!!)

Once I cut out a lot of keto snacks and sweets last month, the meat along with the little bit of veg and dairy I'm doing also turned out not so expensive. A pound of ground 80% (conventional) on sale with loyalty card and digital coupon with a pound limit at $2.99 USD, a package of shirataki noodles about $2.50, a small can of sliced mushrooms and 1/2 of a pint of sour cream, maybe a little frozen onion – and there's ground beef stroganoff only made more expensive by the noodles. Purchased snacks and sweets are ridiculously expensive $8-$10 USD for a little box of 6 at Walmart (and who stops at just one?). Low carb baking is far more expensive than low carb cooking since the "flours" and sweeteners are wicked expensive and you need to combine multiple versions thereof for barely decent results – erythritol/stevia and/or monk fruit/allulose along with coconut flour and/or almond flour as well as not forgetting the xanthum gum, gelatin, glucomannan. And Yikes! the cost of egg white powder these days!

This is a N=1 experiment for pricing, but costs in Canada are so much higher than parts of the US that I am sure you are proving your point that keto/carnivore is a budget friendly way of eating. You don't need sweeteners, special flours, desserts, or other things with this lifestyle. Stick to low carb veggies if you are keto and don't snack. I am finding sales on meat right now that is slowly filling up my freezer. You just have to look at the weekly ads and know what days your grocery store is likely to put things on sale. Yes, it is expensive compared to two years ago, but the last time I was out with a friend at a restaurant, my meal was way over $10 US for just one meal, not just a day. Love your Tuesday talks.
