My son is a junk food junkie, I did well for 2.5 months out of 3, I'm happy I got this far, I've reduced 80 pounds, and surely I will, I have the plan now whereas like you I spent years losing and gaining.
Meds are poison, suppress symptoms and cause further illness. Most doctors don't know ANYTHING about health.
Agree! Our "why" is what keeps us going. I've been keto for over 4 years. Year 2 is when I formulated actually sat down and wrote out, "I want to lose weight so that I can…" and, "I want to get stronger so that I can…" and, "I want to be healthier so as I age, I will be able to…"
I really appreciated this talk Anita!! I needed to hear you say what you did about following the "rules". I have found for myself in trying to follow all the rules of ketovore/carnivore and not being able to, it has gotten me stuck and I have been off track and have gained close to 6 lbs. I need to figure out what is going to work for my body and what I can live with and not be miserable in trying!! Thank you!!! I had watched Dr. Boz's video too. It was good. I need to find my why that makes me cry!

Such a great video Anita! Very inspiring words and you are right, we have been shamed enough. By ourselves, by friends, family and the world in general. It's time for us, this community, to help each other to find the best version of ourselves. No matter what that is or how we get there. Support each other, help each other but never judge. We can learn from each other to find what works for each of us individually. I am so thankful to have found you Anita and this you tube channel, the Facebook group and our private member group. I learn something every day. I have tried things I would have never thought of, and I enjoy my journey more now that I have others to share it with. ๐

Anita, as a fellow Canadian, I thank you for your humility and courage to share your journey. I have been encouraged and my why is the same, I don't want to be a burden to my family as I age. I have been stuck and slowly gained a few pounds these last few weeks. I dug deep and did more research. I came across Dr. Mindy Pelz talking about dry fasting and how she has incorporated one 24 hour dry fast a week. I started just a 20 hour and the scale has started moving down again and I am less inflamed. Keep researching there are new studies coming out all the time. I also love Dr. Boz and love how she addresses the why when we fall off the wagon. As you said, we need to be mindful and dig deep if we want success on our journey. My why makes me cry. Iโm a believer in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit and Iโm a vessel to keep full of the Spirit. If I abuse my body then I am not honoring my Heavenly Father. That has started to grieve me. I choose to obey and not over indulge in food that hurts my temple. โค๏ธโ๐ฉนโค๏ธโ๐ฉนโค๏ธโ๐ฉนโค๏ธโ๐ฉน

I am 64, have been doing whole food keto, seems like forever and have gotten off the path so many times. Lost weight , felt great, than I lose my way, once I stop listening to/ watching youtube videos. I like your 5 approach to keep on the straight and narrow path. I have been more ketovore recently, I need to put my health first and foremost. Your approach in coaching us, is exactly what has helped me. A person I did follow talks about slips. I understand a vaca or holidays but planning solves that in many cases. In my 80s great health my son says amazing I keep up with all of them at Disney which we did week bf last. Did not eat my usual two meals but kept Carnivore. Who knows what see oils or syrups they apply. They all know I eat like this.

My "why" is becoming healthy so that I can avoid my father's journey with T2D and amputated limbs. And, I'm finding that as I slowly and gently shed the extra pounds, I'm naturally more motivated to do the good habits can assist me in attaining my health goals. My lizard brain calls for food about right now but my food consumption ended at 3:30 PM. I know as soon as the sunset it shuts down. I am on only a cream bc of prolapse operation it is estradiol. My uterus ligaments were tightened. If youโre suffering I am amazed at how great I did.

Love you just the way you present. Truth resonates with people. I am coming off a quarter of fall out. Ate a little sugar around Christmas and here I am looking at Easter chocolate. Lost forty and up 19. Love the idea of trying to connect with 5. Btw all the neutral colors in this video with the red tulips and mixer make a great background.
