One thing I do not understand about the states, is why haven't you adopted Indian food sooner? The UK did like 30 years ago, it's going out of fashion now… but I reckon it's about to have a new renaissance in the US. I dunno if it's because of 9/11? But India is Hindu, not Muslim… so maybe not.

It's so difficult for the home cook to replicate Indian or Chinese food at home, believe me I've tried so many times over the years and have given up, your attempt was better than any of mine but please try a tikka masala from a good tandoori restaurant, and you'll see what I mean best wishes from London.

This is the national dish of the UK, in fact it was invented by Indian restaurants in the UK for us, but the gravy is thicker here, and we tend to eat it with pilau rice and naan bread.

Hi Jess, the term Tikka normally means that it’s dry cooked in a Tandoor and the meat is marinated before cooking so that the meat gets a nice char on it from the Tandoor ….. if you were to use your method, just before you put the chicken back in the sauce, add a tiny amount of ghee to a large wok or frying pan, char the chicken lightly then into the sauce and you’ll be amazed at the difference x Keep up the good work and great recipes too !

Chicken Tikka Masala is very popular in the UK, in fact for a while it overtook Fish & Chips as the nations favourite dish. Over here whenever I've had the dish in an Indian restaurants its always been a lot redder in colour than the dish you prepared! So I googled the dish and to be fair most of the pictures showed the dish to be a very similar colour to the dish you made! Maybe they make it differently in UK restaurants!??

Is Indian food popular in the US yet? I remember going there last 16 years ago and you couldn't get it. Found it weird because here in the UK it has been the favourite for so long…. but we don't have much Mexican food.

I loved this video, I am looking forward to see more of you. I have an idea that I’d like you to film! Spelling bee challenge! The rules are that dad and Mum must think of words each (5 words each), then you must give your words to each other to spell. If you happen to spell a word wrong, then you have to take a big plate of shaving cream to the face, each mistake made will mean a big plate of shaving cream to the face!

Well done Jess! I make curry about once a week, but never added chopped tomatoes. I'm defo guna try that in the future. And the blending is great as well especially for kids who aren't fond of onions. 💚👍

Looks great! You might want to add a little warning about how strong dishes like curries will leave their odor on the silicone ring. If you do delicate tasting foods you might want to pick up any extra ring. I don't think we've ever used the presets. We just use manual and adjust the time/pressure.

That looked absolutely delicious. Especially with the cauliflower rice (which I've seen in the supermarket – but never used – and I'm now definitely going to try).

I just came here from having watched a video on Sorted Food (a British food/cheffy YouTube channel) where – by coincidence – they'd also been making a curry. Yours looked far better and is the one I'm going to attempt this weekend (although I'll have to do it in the old crockpot method because I don't have a pressure cooker – which is all to the good because i can just leave it in overnight on Saturday and have it for Sunday lunch).

Anyway – another corker of a recipe. Thank you so much Jess (and Madi!).
    🙂
