This soup is SOOOOOO GOOD. I made it and my husband and I loved it. Then I changed it up. I had some left over ham so I still browned it in the pan, and then I did the recipe but I used the 2 cans of beans but I did one northern and one cannelli and then added a can of diced tomatoes I didn't have any italian season tomatoes, but next time I will use them The kale was delicous I even used some from a kale salad package that I bought a Costco. Both soups are winners for this winters dinner. I have a picky husband and he is enjoying your meals, so that is an extra bonus for me. Can you tell us if we can use regular flour in your muffin mixes or breads or cakes We are not gluten free and the flours are expensive. Is this new house a lot smaller than your other one. I think it is wonderful that you are willing to give up your beautiful home, to down scale for your son. He is a sweetheart and This is going to be amazing for you. Is your church closer now or do you have to find a new one ot go to? Please keep showing us your renovations because it helps all of us who want to renovate. I have a huge downstairs family room that needs to be renovated I have no idea what to do. I have thought about doing the entire thing in a Disney theme but then I am not thinking of just doing a Disney corner and doing something a little more upscare. Please give us all your tricks and how you chose things. Thanks again

Everything is looking great! I can’t imagine how difficult remodeling is when you’re doing so much of the work yourselves and having 2 mortgages. Hopefully you’ll be moving in soon.

I learned so much from you Robin, you are so hard working and patient in bringing your plans to fruition. The soup looks wonderful and I would like know if the extra portion can be stored in freezer for future use. Looking forward to your next videos. May God bless you abundantly!

Hi from Alabama! You have great tips and ideas I have picked up from watching a lot of your videos. Thank you from one homemaker to another. Sometimes it is work that is under-appreciated in today's society. Like your oldest son, our daughters too were married in the last year. They both now work as ICU nurses at the same hospital. With them all grown it is now just our 13 year old son at home and sort of a different season of life in some ways. My husband and I have been married 31 years now and still enjoy home projects together as well. I just thought I would share that with you and thank you for creating videos that are relatable and uplifting. I love your sweet spirit. Your kindness to others and love of the Lord is evident. You even take the time to reply to almost every comment. That takes a lot of effort! Blessing to you and your family. ❤

Terrific video, just goes to show that every space needs to be functional but doesn't have to look fabulous!
Thanks for sharing. I cannot wait to hear how you like your ikea cabinets. I have always liked them in the showroom but have never used them. Congratulations on your new home.

Hi Robin….are you going to keep the washer and dryer that’s in the laundry room or will you bring over the washer and dryer from the other home? Just curious😇.

Robin, Why did you choose Ikea cabinets over other options? Was it price point based, supply availability, or something else? Curious about your thoughts. From my experience, Ikea cabinets have not held up as well or as long as I had hoped. Maybe their product quality has changed.

I really look forward to seeing what has been done. I almost feel like I better start packing 🤣. My husband is a wonderful Father and Husband but we have trouble hanging pictures together. This type of work is not his thing. I always joke with him that it’s a good thing we were not caveman, we’d still be in a cave. 😂🤪 Curious, do the upper cabinets hang on a rail? I’ve never seen that before.
    Take care ~ Janet 😘

You are so right about getting things in order even though you will be renovating the space. It’s really hard for me to function in chaos so just putting things In a temporary “home” is priceless to me. The cabinets are beautiful! Love being on this journey with you!😀

Hi Robin, I have a question about your wood flooring, I love the color and tone of them. I thought one of your videos had information about the product but I can't find which video had that in it.

You're new home is certainly taking shape. I also wanted to thank you for giving me a bit of motivation to get myself moving and back on track. I'm a foster mum to my 12 year old daughter. We've had her 7 years and she is just one of the family. Doing this role now means I'm a stay at home mum. If found myself getting lazy and not doing much other than the bare minimum each day. After watching a few of your videos in back in track. The home cooking is back up to scratch and the house is spotless plus my daughter and I are finding lots of time to while away the Scottish winter nights at the cinema. Thank you. Take care. Lynn x

Great progress. Furniture wise I only kept two pieces from our old house – the nightstand with an inlay of traditional Filipino lifestyle that my deceased father chose and my old makeshift entertainment center. The new house came with furniture included. I just want to change out the furniture in my bedroom. The dresser is too low. Our autistic son Daniel knocks things off low surfaces like that. The wardrobe is too high. I use three five-drawer chests as a standing desk. I store my clothing in one, Daniel's clothing in one, and towels and household linens in one I'm thinking of adding a lingerie chest to hold my huge bras as well as Daniel's and my socks and underwear. Top would be perfect for my sunrise alarm lamp. I also need a small entertainment center to hold a TV, DVD player, and all my current and future video game consoles. The franchises I play usually go to Nintendo and Playstation. It has to be within range for me to be able to see the TV screen while I'm swinging kettlebells. I do follow along type workouts as I suck at timing them. Best spot in the room is right in front of the doorway so the center has to go in front of the closet and there's a window on the other side. Next to it I'll add a bookshelf. I'm minimalist in everything except for books. Need to figure out how tall and wide it can be. I will downgrade my bed to a twin size since I'm the only one who sleeps on it. I have proportionally short leg they are long enough for me. Usually need a petite length in pants. Long skirts I can wear higher on my waist. I like Carolina Morning for the bed and Furniture in Raw for the rest. There are cabinets above the washer and dryer. I think I'll put all my cleaning products there as I'll be able to padlock them. Daniel tends to dump out all of my cleaning products. He's 13 and taller than me. Need two locking cabinets. One for a pantry and one for pottery. Daniel dumps out pantry items and breaks the pottery. If I can fit them might get lockable trunks as lately he's been stealing my dresses, nightgowns, and some skirts. Might need two. One for dresses and another for skirts. I love long and tiered Bohemian/belly dancing styles of skirts. Also they are the most modest as I tend to sit with my legs spread out. The fit and flare dresses which is the type of dress I usually get are too short to do that. Most pants slip off of me when I move and the few that don't I tend to burst open the inner thigh seams. I think it's the friction of the fabric rubbing together as I don't get chaffing there when I wear dresses and skirts. I don't do anything extra to prevent chaffing there. I do have to apply a moisture absorbing powder or wear a sweat wicking bra liner or I'll get a heat rash on my bust every time in warmer weather.

on your recipes?? Also, any recommendations on freezing food other than plastic bags, e.g. freezer wrap, glass, etc….. Thanks Again!!!

Hi Robin! What a great team you and your husband make!👍 It’s a pleasure watching you work together! While looking at your video and seeing you kneel, get up and get down again and again, I thought that you must have incredible aches and pain at night! Then, you start it all over the next day! With these renovations and all the hard work that goes with it, you most certainly do not need other physical exercises right now! 😅Keeping you and your family in my prayers! Looking forward to see you next Sunday! Have a blessed week! 💜🙏

Your kitchen is looking great, Robin! I’m a bit in awe of the ease with which you & Patrick assembled those cabinets. We purchased some IKEA furniture recently and I nearly lost my mind putting it together. 😂 I ended up hiring someone to do it after I got something wrong. Thank you for the rug recommendation. I am in the market for a new mud room rug so I’m going to check those out. Hope that you have a productive & good week!

Hi Robin! Great motivation today! Your kitchen is coming along nicely. Y'all are troopers putting all of those IKEA cabinets together, but I'm sure it makes it easier and more enjoyable that you can work on it together! I wish we had an Aldi close to us! I went to the one that is about 30 minutes away one time and decided it probably wasn't worth the drive. Your soup looked delicious and simple! Thanks for sharing!💗

Aldi is my place! I get most all of our groceries there; the savings is phenomenal. Plus; their quality and variety of items is just fantastic. I only get our meat elsewhere; only because we are used to getting our meat that way.
As always; love the update….and can’t wait until the next one! I commend Patrick and you for all the hard work you are doing…this truly will be YOUR home; something to thoroughly be proud of! 🥰 🏡
