This week I continue with finding items that have been sitting in the pantry and freezer for a long time just staring me down.
Your recipes look delicious, just a hint when you’re making your pastry take your cold butter and using a cheese grater grate it into your flour. Can’t wait to see next weeks challenge.
The deserts look delicious!
Great idea for the pepper jelly for the pork! I'll try it with some of my cowboy candy juice!
I'd hate to eat a pie crust that didn't have salt in it. It would taste awful.
For the turnovers, you probably did put a bit too much filling in it. I have a tendency to do that as well. You probably only need a tablespoon for that size there. It also might help if you brushed the edges with egg wash before closing it. Putting a slit or two on top to vent the steam might help too.
If you have any cookie cutters, you can use them as pastry cutters. Just keep pushing the cutting edges into the butter/flour mix.
Oh yes my go too pepper jelly on grilled chops delicious!! Pork loin basically the same lol great recipes
I totally have riced cauliflower I need to use up..thank you!!!
Me finding out what you fed me… me: Make it again.
I also have apple pie jam to use! One of my children likes it with pb in a sandwich but the other 3 do not. I might make whole grain pop tarts with some.
Use a grater for the cold butter👍🏼
Thanks for sharing the tips. The recipes look so good.
Both of those recipes look delicious. I don't have pork loin or riced cauliflower in my pantry but I will try both of those recipes later this year.
Mmm gonna try this out !
Hey! I have some of that riced cauliflower that I just didn't know what to do with! I can't have dairy, but it looks like it will be easy to make that slightly differently, thanks!
