    Cooker Rasam Rice Recipe :

    Tamarind Pulp:
    Tamarind – 1 Lemon-sized ball
    Water – 1 Cup

    Other Ingredients:
    Raw Rice – 1 Cup
    Toor Dal – 1 tbsp
    Oil – 1 tsp
    Tomato (chopped) – 1 no
    Garlic (crushed, with skin) – 2 Cloves
    Rasam Powder – 1 tbsp
    Turmeric Powder – ¼ tsp
    Salt – 2 tsp
    Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
    Water – 6 Cups

    Tempering:
    Ghee – 1 tbsp
    Mustard Seeds – ¼ tsp
    Cumin Seeds – ¼ tsp
    Curry Leaves – 1 sprig

    Cooking Instructions:

    1. Soak tamarind in 1 Cup of water and extract the tamarind juice.
    2. Wash the rice and dal, and keep aside.
    3. Heat a pressure cooker, add oil, chopped tomatoes, crushed garlic pods, turmeric powder, rasam powder, salt.
    4. Add the tamarind juice, rice and dal.
    5. Pressure cook this adding 3 Cups of Water for 6 whistles.
    6. Open the pressure cooker and mash the rasam rice.
    Add chopped coriander leaves and mix.
    7. In another pan, add 2 tsp of ghee, mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let it splutter and then remove it from the heat.
    8. Add the tempered mixture to the mashed rasam rice.
