I don't have a pride issue using WIC. I however, I dislike how they don't have a ton of other options that are more mainstream. For us we are allergic to dairy. Lactose free makes us sick. One of my kids is allergic to soy as well so we don't keep it in the house. So we keep the dairy on and just buy almond milk either fresh or shelf stable whatever I can that week. Rarely we do buy coconut or oat milk. Cheese we just get vegan substitutes and same with yogurt and I just have to budget for it.

Everyone talking about getting the pup spayed: The animal is set up for a healthier life if their hormones aren't screwed around with until they're grown. This is especially true in large breed dogs. Unfortunately, not everyone has the option (for myriad reasons) of putting the surgery off for their pets that long, so we've all gotten used to doing it to small puppies and kittens. If Christine and her family *can* put it off until the pup isn't a pup anymore (or close to it), that's better for the dog.

When my son was born, I was a Navy wife. My then-husband was a petty officer 2nd class, so not even one of the lowest rates. We were a WIC family. As far as WIC and pride? Pregnant dependents whose spouses were below a certain officer rank were automatically sent to register at the WIC office ON BASE as part of prenatal care. Yes, qualifying for WIC was such a normal part of military enlisted life that there was a WIC office on the base. WIC moms shopping at the commissary was the daily norm. I also took a free half-day family budgeting class at the Family Service Center on base and got a big tote bag full of very useful babies items upon completion. It was called Baby's First Sea Bag. The assumption was that enlisted families with young children would need help. (We could have a whole other conversation about the many layers of things that are wrong with this, but I don't have the energy to go into a youtube comments battle. lol)

You have a podcast!? I feel like maybe I knew that and then my mom Bran completely forgot about it and now I'm super happy that you have it again because I have been hanging out in the podcast room and not been able to YouTube video watch to my pleasure as much lately. But I adore you so I will definitely need to look that one up unless I forget again so please keep reminding me. 😂😉

I know why your kids respect you… It’s the same reason mine respect me. When they were really young I didn’t just randomly keep telling them “no“, or “stop that“… Etc. I would instead explain why the situation at hand was wrong and how it affected other people and how would they like that wrong thing to be done to them. All of my kids totally get that and think of the other person and therefore don’t have a desire to drive anyone nuts, including their mom lol

We keep cutting our budget and I have side hustles but inflation and taxes just keep going up, it’s crazy. I want to hire a social media manager to help me grow my side hustles. It has been fun watching you grow your side hustle!

With diet I focus on one really healthy meal a day right now. I have a precooked meal company that is PHENOMENAL. All meals are 400 calories or less and loaded with protein to keep you full. I use it for my lunches so I don’t find myself snacking all day because I’m hunger. I’ve also started running back in May. A little at a time and I now have completed 2 5k’s

I enjoy your videos but didn't appreciate the "clickbait" style title. It's nice to have some sort of description of the video in the title 🙂 just some feedback. Overall love your videos

I’m sorry but parents have gotten soft. Dom don’t realize by not teaching things them at a young age if they’re giving them more love. They also underestimate your little ones. They don’t think they can understand boundaries. Then there are others who are just too lazy to be consistent with the rules and the discipline. Then they laugh when their child goes to kindergarten and the teacher has to deal with that. And it continues. I am a middle school high school teacher and the lack of parent involvement is sad. It’s refreshing to see teenagers who are well-developed mentally, socially And know right from wrong. Thank you Christine. You are amazing!
