The music is horrendous in the back
If you flip the lid it will help gas release
What do I do after day 7? Do I feed it every day after day 7?
Hi, I just wanna ask, what to do with the discarded sourdough? Place it in the fridge or need to be use immediately? Can I freeze it until I want to use them or just store them in a room temperature? How long it gonna be turn bad? It just I'm on holiday right now but need to return to college next month, so I don't know how to keep them (feeded sourdough) alive and the discarded too.
do you put in the refrigerator after day 7?
Thank You 🤗🤝
Do I have to repeat that step every day , take out some of the dough and add some flour and water ??
The measurements are exhausting
So you through away the balance of the feeding mature starter that you don’t use? And after the 7th day, you always have to do the step 7 everyday or it will die?
@JoshuaWeissman, is it correct that 25 grams is almost absolutely nothing? My jar is practically empty and I can barely scoop out 1 tablespoon of starter out of it?
Throw it I. The fridge you can feed it once a week
Hi, thank you this video, i have watched this a lot of times but this time I decided to make it. I am on day 5th and it’s going perfect but i have one question. After day 7 do I only have to keep feeding the starter without throwing some part of it or do i have keep the mature starter 25g all the time and feed it?
I don't throw my starter away. I just add 1 :1 to the existing starter that I keep in the fridge. Haven't had any problems in 3 years ☺️
I am so thankful to have just received a starter that is over 100 years old, we baked with it yesterday and it was the best bread I have ever had and it was our first loaf
The music is distracting me 🥲🥲💔💔
Can I use organic whole wheat flour instead of rye?
What should I do with my starter currently?
I’m on day 21 and I’m yet to see it double in size. It gets a little bit bubbly but not “active” as I understand it. I feed it daily with I bleached flour and filtered room temp water. Should I reduce mine to the amount of day 2 and follow your instructions from there?
after about 12 hours, water layer started to form on top of the mass. is that normal?
u dope
UGG I started off well until the scale and the gram measurements. This is not user-friendly I really wanted to like this video.
I put the starter jar on my 3d printer print bed at 32deg C and it rise within 12hour so instead of 7 days, its ready in 3-4 days
Stupid question is it supposed to smell sour?
Please, you will have to make a correction on this video, Bed Bath and Beyond is no more!
I have tried making this starter 6 times now. When I cut back on the water amount it gets too thick and won’t rise and fall. I have been playing with flour and water every day for months. I give up this tutorial ain’t it
Do you need to continue feeding it the rye after day 7, or can you move towards simply only using all purpose flour?
I'm watching this after my sourdough starter died rip sourjoe June 2023 to November 2023
I followed your starter recipe and got a beautiful result! But then I went and put my started in the fridge 'cos I thought by doing so it I may not have to feed it daily. But it seems to have made it weak! How do I revive it??
Great video man.
