Love this dish , but again , we used to be able to get the sausage here ( we called it “ fan cheung” ) , but have not seen it for a long time , limited importation rules I suppose . We are deprived of all these things , that’s why we try and stuff our suitcases when we travel 😅 hope Dude recover speedily , he hasn’t lost his taste so he’ll be back soon.

Looks like a tasty dish. I've never seen the Lup Chong, but will search it out at our local Asian market. So sorry to hear that Dude had covid, and hopefully he is feeling much better. Both my daughter and wife had it around Mothers Day and they were both pretty sick but rebounded just fine.

This is truely Chinese home style 🥰 I remember my mum use to cook it the same way but with thinly sliced dried shitake mushrooms, chinese red dates and wolfberries. To them steam food is healthy food.

I love how you say that we can use bourbon lol. I remember that video when you ran out of the wine and used bourbon for the dish you were fixing😊 That was early in the pandemic—your videos helped calm me and keep things sane. I so appreciate you!

Post partum my mom told me to make this, but with Shitakes too. So I would have rice steaming and another trivet so the chicken can steam too in my IP. Just made some quick veg and dinner was ready, which was great because I was so dead tired with a newborn!

Just ordered the Lup Cheong via Amazon and am REALLY looking forward to making this when it arrives. Chicken leg/thigh quarters are inexpensive here at Publix and I'm good at boning so no need to have to pay three times as much for the store prepared packages. Thanks again!

Hi. Flo and Dude another great recipe. I tried taking a picture of the meat. But the lights made it shiny. Can you please spell it for me so when I go to the Asian market, they won't look at me like I lost it. 😂 Feel better Dude.
