There is a restaurant in Palo Alto called Reposado. They used to serve brunch but sadly not anymore. One of the items was a dish they called HUEVOS OAXAQUEÑOS soooo good! 🙂
As I remember it was black beans (mashed or refried I’m not sure) on the bottom then a couple of corn tortillas, a couple of stripes of thick bacon, 2 fried eggs and the best part it’s all smothered in mole sauce and topped with avocado and queso fresco and served with a side of home fried potatoes. Did I mention how good it was. Mole for the win!

Sam, here’s a meal my family has at least once or twice a month because it’s quick, easy, and tasty. We call it Chicken Rice Wraps and I think I found the recipe on the back of a food package about 20+ years ago. You cut up 1lb of chicken and brown it in a pan. Then add 2 cups water, 1 cup of salsa, and a packet of taco seasoning and bring to a boil. Stir in 2 cups of minute rice and cover. Cook on low for 5 minutes then serve on a tortilla with some sour cream and shredded cheese. I’m sure you could spice it up and do it as a “1-pan” or “15-minute” meal.

Love the show and my STCG knives. Best wishes!

Am I the only one who is repulsed by beans on a burrito other than a bean burrito which are delicious. Beans just overpower everything else like the chicken or any protein. Rice is fine as a filler, but beans? 👎

Hey Sam. Learned so much from you and the boys. Could you do a pork steak recipe? It’s a Midwest thing with sliced pork shoulder. Juicy with crispy edges. Delicious! Would love to see how you would do it.

I serve a smoked bologna patty melt at our restaurant you should make one! Smoke whole log of bologna slice then fry served on grilled Texas toast with caramelized onions and burger sauce! So good!

Hey Sam, I make your recipes all the time and love your channel. I have a recipe suggestion I thought you’d get a kick out of. It’s a Buffalo chicken sub with blue cheese, shredded lettuce and onion. I had it at subway but it was sub par. Firehouse is better but they don’t make one. I have faith you can make a version of the buffalo chicken sub that will put subway to shame.
