Keeping it real as always! Yes to all of this! I went to my Dr a few weeks ago because my weight was effecting my mental health. She immediately suggested therapy. Keto worked for me but I'm just not in love with meat. I prefer fruit and potatoes so plant based is making me happy. Not losing much weight but it's more sustainable. I'm sleeping so much better too. I'm not vegsn but eat about 90 percent whole food plant based. Thanks for sharing this video. XOXO

Thanks for speaking out about this. I definitely lost weight while doing keto but I don't necessarily think it actually had much to do with cutting out carbs and more to do with actually tracking what I was eating and staying in a deficit. I'm sure I would have had similar results on any "diet". It all comes down to consistency, being in a deficit and being honest with yourself. I now eat all kinds of foods (mainly whole foods) and I'm much happier without all the food rules 🙂

The food we eat is so true! Someone cannot out exercise a bad diet…think about it…a standard donut is 250 calories for a medium sized one and the average person is lucky to burn at minimum 125-150 calories in the gym from an hour of exercise. Unless someone is doing HIIT each day, they just will not burn enough from exercise to go ham on junk food. Yes movement is great for other health benefits but the majority of weight loss starts in the kitchen.

My opinion in my experience the only way l can loose weight is to not 🚫 have it in the house at all. I walk around the kitchen looking in the refrigerator nothing to cheat with same with the pantry . I think that is the idea to not have it. However l got into my other half's ice cream so l proved to myself that l cannot be trusted with sweets. I got back on track this morning and l could not sleep cause the ice cream it wasn't worth it .

    Preach it Daniela.
    It's the food…..plain & simple.
    Abs start in the kitchen.
Your kids are beautful & it's a shame some others feel the need to comment negativity.

Great info Daniela, thanks alot for the insights and yes society sets standards which we try and fit into and do things that work for others and model them but sonetimes we dont get results like them and then think somethings wrong with us.
Tried all things like you, restricted and trying to figure out what works without damaging things more inside out. Once again awesome video as usual. God bless you 🙏 xxxxx

Thank you for being so real with your advice. What you are saying is spot on. I’m trying to take baby steps in making better food choices. I bought a food scale to just begin measuring my food properly. Also appreciate you sharing your meal plan because it’s helped with getting me started on what to eat 💗

I occasionally watch several “keto” women on YouTube partly to see how they are doing. One is convinced that she’s addicted to carbs & she’s basically going to have to be carnivore-ish for the rest of her life. The other lady enjoys going out to eat & hates cooking. They both could use a good councilor or therapist but they’re both against it. I have seen many therapists over the years due to family issues that seriously could have been prevented if my parents beliefs weren’t in the way. My disordered relationship with food is truly their fault for telling me to push down my emotions & to never deal with them because “it might embarrass the family” excuse.

    So so encouraging Daniela.
The struggle is real with food. My daughter made chocolate chocolate chip cookies on Saturday and I wanted one with a tiny bit of icecream on top. I ate it with a spoon like a dessert and it was delicious. About 10min later I was so happy. I looked at my son and said "Wow that treat made me feel so happy. This is dangerous!!" At that moment I truly understood why people turn to food for that feel good feeling. I turned to chips, and salty things usually and the sweet salty is my favorite but I normally dont feel like that after something sweet. It was so weird. I have not been myself for a while now. Just anxious, stress, depressed some so maybe the sugar made all of that go away but wow. It terrified me.
You have set great goals for yourself. I have been and will always be a do what works for you kind of woman. Post menopause is kicking my butt. Probably where many of my emotions are coming from but I am a fighter. I wont give up on myself.
Thank you for your encouraging words. They spoke to my heart.
    Blessings🙏

If it's on YouTube, it seems like no one cares how hurtful they are with their comments. Best response? "Can you make a video showing the right way to do it? Let me know when you post it and I'll go watch it." 😂
I totally agree about exercise, it's an enhancer to the diet, not something we can use in place of. I read somewhere, "Exercise is not a punishment for what we ate but a celebration of what our body can do."
