So cool you were able to combine work with mommy/daughter time! My mom was a public school teacher and had to go to yearly teacher conferences (that the city of Boston paid for!) and she always took me and my younger siblings (once they were born).she always took us sight seeing when she wasn’t busy to make it fun despite hanging around workshops and lectures all day. We went to Orlando (yep we did Disney and Epcot!) Dallas, Detroit, New Orleans and i think DC. Maybe another city as well. Great memories!

So glad y’all made and and so fun. Several years ago friends told us about a 10yo trip. Where dad takes boys and mom takes girls and just parent and that kid go on a trip somewhere. And we decided we’d do that and you have to fly somewhere. Last year my husband took our some to the adventures in odyssey place in Colorado for our sons 10yo trip. Julia’s is coming up soon in a few months so I’m deciding where she and I are going to go. 💕

I get all stressed at the airport too nothing stresses me out then time crunching as I always figure things will take longer than they do. So excited I'm sure Naomi will have a blast
We are flying out of Dulles at 730am Sunday to Orlando for a week at Disney. We are staying Saturday night at a Marriot at Dulles, so they can load all our stuff up and shuttle us over at 5am.

Next time, pack your clothing items inside the purse in your suitcase. That way it doesn’t get Creasy and smooshed.

I drive in Washington DC frequently, it will be a miracle if I can ever find New York Avenue to get onto Interstate 395 S. I have an out-of-state SC plate when I'm there, so you'd think the other drivers would have mercy on me, but no! 😱

If you hadn’t taken the crib the crib at the hotel would have been awful! I know this from experience, one time we padded up our large suitcase and the baby slept in that. Naomi gets more gorgeous every day, takes after Mama.
