El Pato is AMAZING!!!!!! I have been using it for decades! Great stuff, great video!!! Love the salsa running down your chin – now that is real! My take on the recipe: Salsa Ranchero by Cooking con Claudia
Ingredients
• 1 Jalapeno, thinly slided the long way
• 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
• 4 Roma tomatoes, rough chopped
• 1/2 t Cumin
• 1 t Garlic salt (or garlic powder/granulated garlic and some salt)
• 1/2 T Mexican oregano
• 1/2 can of El Pato sauce
• 1-2 T chopped cilantro
• 2 bay leaves
Directions
1. Sauté onion and jalapeno in oil for 3 minutes, until soft.
2. Add in tomatoes, cook for 3 minutes more
3. Add in spices, El Pato and cilantro and bay leaves
4. Cook on medium for 3 minutes, then simmer for 5 minutes
5. Done!!!
Great on Huevos Rancheros (fried tortilla, refried beans, fried egg – over easy)
