Fantastic! Only thing that I would change is the cheese, going with a smoked provolone instead. Not only gives you another type of smoky flavor but also the consistency of the melted cheese will tend to help hold the carnitas together.

Okay, this is pork, but I meant ground pork. Can you toss a ground pork burger into the mix?
This does look awesome, though, and I'll make it the next time I make carnitas. Especially the chipotle jam.

Does smash month include smashing things in a waffle iron? Make instant oatmeal, put whatever extras you want, smash it in the waffle iron, instantly better. If you want those odd texture scrambled egg patties you get from the drive through that you suspect came out of a carton and a 3d printer, just smash two real eggs into a waffle iron, wait about 2 mins, unless you were really hankerin’ for that extruded “egg” patty

Da bomb!! One of my favorite Sam concoctions!! We didn’t have suitable bread for grilled cheese but the kings Hawaiian burger rolls added to this is a most delicious way. Thanks Sam!!!

IDEA: Turkey dinner smash. The ‘buns’ are balls of stuffing that are smashed flat, then turkey ground smashed, with a cranberry mayo, and make it hot with gravy over the top.

Need some breakfast. Smashed ground bacon and sausage, hash browns, fried egg over easy and cheese on a toasted bun of choice. Add peppers if desired. Just a thought.
