Hi A.J. can i use coconut aminos instead of liquid smoke? also i don't have a pressure cooker so can i use a regular soup pot and how much do i need to let it cook for?
Is there Rosemary or no rosemary?
Don't you have to soak the split peas overnight first, or just throw them in as is?
This is great 👍. Made to take to visit family because they are not plant based. My husband (also not plant based) really liked it as well.
Were those split peas pre-washed? I once bit down on a rock because I’m sure the person did not wash and sort the peas. A very important step with any meal that had dry legumes, lentils and split peas. Cheers
This tastes SO much better the next day,,,,can't sress that enough. I live alone so I cook this and freeze immediately. I'll pull one and put it in the fridge two days before I intend to actually eat it.

My family likes the fried green split peas really disintegrated, so the split pea soup is very very thick at the beginning, and not have to wait until the next day for the split pea soup to become thicker.
Split Pea Soup has always been my favourite since I was a child. It took hours when my Mom cooked it. Thanks for showing me how quick it could be. I have to invest in a Pressure cooker. Mom had one but hardly used it for soup. Mostly for tender meats, The benefits are numerous – retaining vitamins, saving time, and more flavour. Thanks again.
