I just found your channel and I love it so much! I recommended it to all of my friends in our local vegan/vegetarian group. The idea of tasha is great because I really crave tangy flavors in my dishes.
Please don't ruin the perfect Lentil soup with all those additives like garlic and vinegar 🙁 A squeeze of lemon juice at the end is all you need.
So I just made this. Its delicious!
The thick texture and warm bright flavors make it a wonderful winter soup. My wife and kids all loved it too.
I'll definitely be watching more of your recipes

I'm so pleased I found your channel. It's so interesting how many commonalities of spice and lentil bases Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine share. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy trying this refreshing soup as we love a good dal.
My Armenian grandmother used to make a delicious Lentil Soup (she called it Vosp Soup) but this looks even better than hers. Must try it!
I see you like to side your garlic with some lentil soup!
Any tips to making this in an instant pot?
Yummy
I'm making this as soon as I can get the split lentils!
I'm sure it's super delicious adding in the butter/garlic/vinegar mix to it.
I’d like to suggest that if you’re reducing the soup then you should add salt after the reduction is finished, incase someone prefers their soup thicker than you guys do
I have all of the ingredients….really must try this!
Any reason not to substitute for tinned tomatoes? Pretty hard to get good tomatoes here in winter!
yummy 🤤💕
I love lentils, any kind but I'm especially addicted to the everyday green lentils that are common in all grocery stores.
If I made this but didn't blend would it be sacrilegious? I like vegetable chunks in my soup.
Roti daal
The real question is: can I use the duck stock I have left over from making Fesenjan?
Thanks for another great video. How would other types of lentils work?
Awesome recipe. Thank you
This method of adding an aroma oil with some acid right at the end is really similar to how ramen gets assembled in a bowl. So interesting to see this and this will taste great!
Everything's better with toasted pita! That looks fantastic! I've finished soups and curries with spice-infused oil before but it never occurred to me to add vinegar at that stage. I love lentils dressed with vinegar and oil so I can't wait to try the tasha!
So was that 12 cloves of garlic?
يحيا العدس يحيا العدس 😍😍

Made this today. It was excellent. FYI add the Tasha (garlic vinegar sauce) to taste just in case. Strong stuff.
Literally made this for dinner tonight thanks to you. Thank you!
Amazing recipe 💯👌🏻👌🏻😍
This recipe sounds so delicious!

Thank you for another awesome recipe.

I'm amazed that you managed to pack all of this into just under five minutes of video. Looks delicious!
Looks fabulous! Obi, I have an unrelated question: do you have a recipe for baharat? Or can you do a quick video on this? And what's your favorite brand of Aleppo pepper? Thanks!
Awesome Winter Story 👌
That looks delicious! I'll have to look around for the split red lentils. Thank you.
Are nigela seeds spicy?
