I made this recipe and it was the best kitchari I have ever had by far! My husband even liked it so much he said it's one of his new favorites – and he normally eats meat and doesn't even like rice and bean dishes.

I made this for a detox cleanse I am on and I am so in love with this dish. I feel like I could eat like this everyday.

I used 3/4 cups of sprouted whole mung beans (soaked for 24 hours the day before) + 3/4 cups of soaked jasmine rice to even out the ratio. I was going to sub lentils over mung beans but I am so glad I didn't and used whole mung beans as they are so delicious and hearty. And no gas or bloating from them whatsoever. I found them at Sprouts grocery store.

I also subbed corriander powder for corriander seed, subbed bell pepper for celery, added a couple small yukon potatoes with the broccoli & cauliflower ratio, and I subbed swiss chard for kale. I also left out the hind (Sadhguru doesn't recommend it as it can tax the nervous system). Other than that, I followed the recipe completely.

All the veggies cut up really small made this the most delicious porridge EVER!

I served this dish with a middle eastern chopped tomato + cucumber salad with a simple lemon, olive oil and salt and pepper dressing. I also served it with a vegan unsweetened, plain cashew & coconut yogurt. It was so so good!

This recipe made a ton of food and almost filled my large pot to the brim while cooking, but it was completely gone in 3 days with my husband and I eating it every night. (So it was 6 servings for us).

Thanks so much again for this delicious recipe. I believe it's the best one on YouTube. It's a must try for everyone!

I tried this recipe today. Not wanting to have too much left over for us two, I cut the recipe in half exactly, and it came out fantastic. The kale stems were added with the broccoli and cauliflower. Thank you!

Soo appreciate all the little helpful hints such as cutting veggies so they fit on spoon and mixing spices before hand. Definitely will keep viewing.
