This podcast was fantastic! I listened to it twice, b/c it had so much info. Dr. Casey Means offered us many pearls of wisdom: the trifecta of health (choice, symptoms, and objective value CGM levels), time for personal empowerment, the need for sophistication w/ our food choices b/c we are tackling the sophistication of marketing (often misrepresented claims), concern we're on a treadmill towards chronic disease, explore our health/symptoms with curiosity, CGM gives us freedom & less judgment! Yes! All fantastic messages! I signed up for the study, and hope to be using this in my health coaching. Bravo Dhru and Casey! Keep on speaking!

While individualizing nutrition is great and still outrageously expensive because CGMs cost a lot of money for people that are not diabetics, the idea of not coming out front and saying that high sugar foods are not good for you is a little bit crazy if you ask me. The second best to a CGM is reading the nutritional label – if it has 10+ grams of carbs per small serving and almost no fiber there is very good chance you will get your blood sugar high which means that item is not good for you. There are nuances like sugar alcohols, glycerin and allulose but learning about those is much cheaper than CGM. And yes I absolutely want to wear a CGM and take all of my data since I am a data geek. For the normal person reading the label should be pretty good option to be healthy.

I am surprised that Dgru plays into that whole COVID thing. I wonder why? I would have thought he would be more skeptical given all the negative press and issues so many thousands of people have had. This is not a vaccine but rather an unapproved therapy and I would have preferred that he not talk about it.

Grapes go with cheese. Everyone knows this, yet this doctor could almost not bring herself to say it. Also, beef is an excellent source of protein. Better than "chicken and fish", which is tge only animal protein she ever mentions. The anti beef and daury bias is plain, which is sad, because it's not based in science. It's religion.
