Funny thing is, just 2 days ago I was thinking "I gotta look up when US Thanksgiving is, so I can send the wish the day of." But then later I forgot to look it up.
Just a coincidence that I am watching this video today instead of later, so that I get to say it on time!
Technically I could have known from being bombarded with emails and commercials for all the screaming deals tomorrow or the entire week, but I never really put the puzzle pieces together that Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the Netherlands. We only get the commercial stuff because many stores are all too happy to jump on the bandwagon. But maybe next year those emails and commercials will remind me at least that Thanksgiving is coming up for you…

My mom would stand in her garden looking at her veggies just the same with arms behind her back (she probably still does, but I just remember my dad pointing it out when I still lived at home)… and then my niece did the same pose when she was not even 2 years old. The apple doesn't fall far from the (grand)tree 😆
I remember the Saturday House Cleaning. Ok, this was back in the early 1960s. We used Jubilee appliance polish, it was a white cream and we used it on all appliances in the kitchen. We polished furniture, did some dishes (not much because they were washed after each meal), made beds with fresh sheets, cleaned the bathrooms. After all our chores were done, we got our allowance and went promptly to the roller rink to have fun!

What?? No On Guard cleaner? Love that stuff. I made the mistake of going to my Costco last Saturday just for gasoline. I couldn't get out of the parking lot of the shopping center it was so full. Didn't even need to go into the store.
