Yesss. This is going to be in my Christmas Eve meals
I followed your direction and my beef pelau was amazing. My mom is 87 and from Belmont; she loved it! She has dementia and it made me feel good to give her something that enabled her to remember home and family. Thank you Chris. 🤓❤
Hey Cuz, how are you? Your voice sounds shaky, I hope you're well… I'm still rockin' your recipes! Stay well and keep posting our culture to the masses! So proud of you Padnah 🙂
Hi I have a question. To save time can I use kitchen bouquet instead of browning the sugar
Pelau is actually cook all over the world. I was very surprised I wonder how the dish made it's way to Trinbago. Thanks for taking the time to post. Cooked it for my wife she was amazed.
I remember the day after my dad would make a beef roast, was a pelau 💕
Watching ur shows so I learn how to cook the food I grew up on!
Hey Chris. Thanks for this recipe, gonna try it on the weekend. But ill be using MP ketchup instead. To me its really the best tasting (not just saying that because its a Trinidad product) 🙂

I don't like wet rice and this looks great yum
Hi Chris. There's nothing more to do to the dish. All it needs is some avocado. Yum😘
Love your videos, but curious to know if that beef cooked in 25minutes… I know beef usually takes on average an hour to cook.
My MoMo (now cooking for the Gods) always put a giant stick of butter, then her brown sugar, and all else that the sexy Chef did. Maybe why the women of our family are a bit plump? lol Did she do it wrong? Looks like the same recipe to me…??? ITS ALL GOOOOOD…Haaaaa
Do you have any pamie recipe?
Hi Chris, how do you get the beef to be nice and tender without pressure cooking it?
This looks good what do you serve it with?
Yum!!!!
What cut a beef is that Chris. Bottom Round or Top
Chris, you driving me crazy. plate the dishes. Videos coming across as incomplete. We want to see the dish not in the pot. 🙂
Making this today!!! It’s time lol and you made this recipe easy easy I’ll let you know how it goes
Chris brotha how bout a marrying of Trini/Jam culture wit ah Jerk chicken pelau?
Hi Chris!
Never even heard of pelau until watching your videos but I'm determined to make it. I can't put my hand on any gungo beans, could I use kidney beans instead? Also, would a paella pan work? Cheers!
u left the sugar out of the recipe boss
This is just what i needed to see! I was running out of ideas for dinner this week and this popped up 🙂 I love how you make these dishes so easy to understand and execute. They are just how my mom/grandmom/aunts made it when i was growing up. Big ups to you Chris!
Another great one Chris
what brand of knives do you use
Chris, didn't you have a green seasoning recipe on your channel? I thought I saved it and I can't find it now. Please help!
You know that someone is really from the Caribbean when you see then cut up the Onion like he did at 3:14.
did I miss the pigeon peas?
question: why do you boil off so much liquid in the beginning, just to add it back in before you put in the rice? By the way, love the channel. I make your 20 minute curry chicken all the time, and made my own green seasoning from scratch because of you. Thanks for all the work you put in!
Amazing recipes, for any event. Delectable!!
Thanks so much for your videos Chris. I'm making this again tonight. One of my favorites for lunches all week. Will be using Golden Ray as I'm out of oil, lol. .. Keep em' coming!
Where are you from in the Caribbean are you from cause you sound like you could be from Trinidad or Jamaica
I swear your videos have made me a bonified cook
I made this and it was delicious. Thx Chris I love watching your channel. Been a loyal subbie for a long time now. Keep the videos coming Chéri 🇭🇹
Hi Chris, Why do suggest not using the bottled seasoning sold in the grocery?
Chris. Forget about tasty tuesday. Let us get Freaky Friday. I am never tried a beef pelau (always do it with Chicken), but you have never steered me wrong. Making this tonite. Keep up the great Videos. You show that Caribbean food can be beautiful as well as tasty.
