Saute Peppers in IP for a few minutes, then brown all sides of the pork. Set to manual, 90 Min, Sealing. Chop and enjoy!

The Instant Pot makes short work of ribs and they come out super tender. I used to cook these low and slow in the oven at 250º for 2-3 hours and then throw them on the grill with bbq sauce. That’s still a great way to make them, but if you want to get it done in a lot less time, try this method.

Some notes:
• I used apple juice for my cooking liquid, but you can use whatever liquid you like. Some great options are pickle juice, beer, broth, or just plain water.
• These back ribs were on a BOGO at the store, but you can use St. Louis ribs or spareribs. You may have to cut the spareribs down into sections to fit into your pot.
• I had some leftover homemade BBQ rub from a different recipe, but you can certainly use a store-bought rub. I just love the taste of the McCormick’s and they have such a wide variety of flavors.
• If you like a little more chew on your ribs, only cook for 20 minutes. Go for 30 if you want them more fall-apart.

Today’s Ingredients:
2 racks of pork ribs, 3-4 lbs each
liquid smoke, about ¼ cup
BBQ rub, about ½ cup

2 cups apple juice

BBQ sauce

Instructions:
1. Pat the ribs dry and remove the membrane from the backside.
2. Rub a little liquid smoke on the ribs – this will help the seasoning stick – then rub with your seasoning mix. Set the ribs aside for 15-30 minutes before cooking.
3. Pour the apple juice into the pot insert and set a steam rack into the pot. Coil the ribs and insert them into the Instant Pot. Try to leave a little space in between the coils to let the steam get all around the meat.
4. Lock the lid and cook on manual/high for 25 minutes, then natural pressure release for 20 minutes before quick-releasing any remaining pressure.
5. Remove the ribs onto a baking sheet.
6. Slather with barbeque sauce and place under a broiler for 5-10 minutes. Flip and repeat on the other side.
7. Yum.

How to make shredded barbecue chicken made using the Instant Pot. This is step by step recipe on how to make shredded barbecue chicken. I use 1 cup of BBQ sauce (sometimes I will mix 1/2 cup of sweet and 1/2 cup of hot) and then 1 cup of Root Beer (I have also tried Dr. Pepper). It is so easy and tastes delicious! The Instant Pot can be used as both a slow cooker or really fast. Try it both ways. Great for sandwiches, salads, etc…!

You bet you can! Place your ribs the grill and cook them on Medium for 10 minutes. Lightly brush them with BBQ and turn them every few minutes until the BBQ sauce starts to glaze over.

This recipe for pulled pork can be made in a pressure cooker or an Instant Pot. This is a simple recipe that will make a very flavorful dish. You will need soy sauce, garlic, and brown sugar for this recipe. You don’t need to heat your kitchen to make a delicious pulled pork recipe. You can add in optional chilies if you like a little heat.

Recipe for Pulled Pork In an Instant Pot

1 3 to 4-pound pork butt roast
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
5 or 6 cloves of garlic
1 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (7 ounces)

Directions

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Sear roast on all sides until golden brown. Prepare marinade by combining brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic. If desired add can of chipotle peppers into the pressure cooker before cooking. Pour the marinade on top of the meat before you cook it whether you cook the marinade in the slow cooker or the pressure cooker.

Pressure Cooker Directions

Pressure cook on high for approximately 60 minutes. Release naturally and pull pork apart with two folks.

Slow Cooker Directions

Place pork butt roast and marinade into slow cooker. Cook on low for about six hours or until the meat begins to flake easily when pricked with a fork.
