Orale te lusciste mija!!! My abuelita used to prepare the same recipe. I used to be her kitchen boy and learned her best recipes, I memorized them by heart. The smell of hand made tortillas and beef tongue was intoxicating, heck even the neighbors used to come and stay chatting with her while cooking just so they could taste her amazing cooking. My fondest memory of her, is how affectionately she used to touch my face while she was cooking in the kitchen. She used to say " you have to feel and provar the flavors of life and what you are cooking . Her beautiful brown hands smelled of life, love and great food. I can feel how much you enjoy our traditional gastronomic traditions. I am proud to be Mexican when I see great women like you and your sister present the best of our food.

I don’t have an a instant pot yet but I do have a slow cooker. How many hours would you recommend I cook my lengua on the slow cooker with the same ingredients. Thank you for sharing all these recipes you make it so simple to follow.

I always was turned off by the idea of eating beef tongue….but I’d eat that actually 😂 especially if it’s finely chopped
I may eat the cubes but maybe after trying it finely chopped to see flavor/texture 😂 but I’ve tried different foods people would be turned off by (chicken feet) so I should 100% try that lol 😂

My mom made beef tongue as a roast when I was a kid. We raised a beef cow every year. I hated it but I've had beef cheek tacos and loved them and want to try this. Your step by step is AMAZING!! Thank you for sharing!

I have been told many times this is delicious, but never how to prepare it! I love your channel and the way you show the details of preparation! Do you have something for beef heart? I do cook that, coated and fried. The tongue and heart are muscles and can be surprisingly tender. Thank you sisters for your videos! 🥰

Oh these were so delicious. Sadly, I will be the only one eating it. And the chili sauce is so spicy ( too many chili’s?) I don’t usually eat spicy food. But oh my!!! I loved it. My husband sounded like he was dying when I made him try a piece. I think it’s mind over matter. But that’s okay, more for me!!!

Lengua is my favorite taco, best way to make it is in a crock pot, I like it shredded, never in chunks, would not use a clove or red sauce either.
Salsa verde is better with tongue. Made in a crock pot its more tender than what that looked liked.
    You cook really great tho.
From a crock pot you don't need to do all n that extra work in chopping the meat.
