The oven for an hour will might make them less watery… I love the pressure cooker though, thinking about getting one but if it steams or boils everything not so sure! Thanks for the vid!

Yay! I made sweet potatoes in my Instant Pot last night. I've had my IP for a week and keep putting something in it to pressure cook every day. I can eat part of it and freeze the rest. After making sweet potatoes, I made lightly fried mashed potatoes in the IP. Then I made poached eggs, in the IP, to go on top of the mashed potatoes. And a little sweet potato with butter and brown sugar. Easy meal. In addition, I have the leftovers in the freezer. I found a recipe for sweet potato cheesecake I want to get made tonight, with some of the sweet potatoes I put in the fridge.

I think it is easier to pull the rack up with the sweet potatoes. Taking them out one by one is too many times getting hand or fingers burned.

Loved the enthusiasm for how easy the Instant Pot is for making sweet potatoes. I feel like I've been in the dark ages for too long – a pressure cooker is a must have for making healthy food easy.

Great video! I have my sweet potatoes going now just like you instructed. I have an older version of the electric pressure cooker so I'm just using a cheap metal basket steamer. I'm going to turn mine into the sickly sweet sweet potato casserole that my family loves on Thanksgiving. Thank you for making this video.

If you get a successful show could you ask the canning jar folks to manufacture a glass jar that is wider and shorter than their pint jars so we can store food like sweet potatoes in the glass jars. No mashing necessary. Pressure cook, throw in jar. Throw in freezer.
