Hi i am interested in making the sweet potato wheels after they are done in my mealthy pot pressure cooker would I drain the water out and put the sweet potatoes in a casserole dish and then I would put them in the oven at 350 degrees how long would I cook them in the oven for?
Where can I find the list of ingredients
I just made this for the first time. I know it's not thanksgiving…but WOWWWWW! Delicious! Thanks for making me feel like a kitchen genius! Oh, of course I made the sweet potato rolls as well…first time ever making dough. Again, wow! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and techniques!
Let Jeff has a little funπ
I love love love how real you are! Maybe that βsurprise tastingβ was planned maybe notβ¦ either way, you are the great kind of gal Iβd love being friends with. Thank you for all of your videos and charm
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sweet potatoes and cannot wait to try thisβ€οΈ
I will definitely try the peel method. Iβll also try this recipe. Iβm meh on sweet potatoes generally, but somewhere I have a recipe like this where the pecans are praline. Maybe you add the base of the praline sauce over the pecans near the end to avoid burning. I used to cook my casserole every thanksgiving and eat the sweet potato casserole leftovers like dessert.
Thanks for suggesting vegitarian. I would love for you to demonstrate an non-animal based healthy meal for occational vegan nights.
Could you please tell me the diameter of your casserole dish and whether it is the same for the 8 quart Ninja Foodie inner pot?
My MIL uses Italian dressing . It has a wonderful flavor. I always add a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon. I am going to try this one. It popped up and I was thinking of doing sweet potatoes this week
If you had placed your sweet potato mixture along with the topping into a pie crust and baked it in the oven that would have been a great sweet potato pie.
Thank you, I prepared this yesterday for our Thanksgiving Dinner and my family LOVED them.
My sweet potatoes are really small. Iβm doing a half recipe. My potatoes weigh about 1 3/4 lbs but there is 6 of them, so they are small like fist size or a little smaller. Because of their size, do I change the cooking time, especially the initial cook to peel. I would think that would make these tiny ones mush.
Love the idea for peeling the sweet potatoes, they are so hard peeling raw. I love sweet potatoes and am not waiting for a holiday to make this, I will however wait for the price of potatoes to go down. I don't have the Foodi but do have the Instant Pot and Air Fryer. I'll use the IP to cook the potatoes but finish with the topping in the regular oven, afraid the topping might blow up into the fan of the AF.
The tip on pressure cooking the sweet potatoes for 2 minutes is really helpful! I have a dicer that they don't recommend using sweet potatoes on, but I suspect it would work great after preparing the potatoes this way. Thanks for the tip.
I like that you tied up your hair. Please continue to do it whenever you cook. You have a pretty face, and all that hair is distracting.
Get outta town! I can't believe the Mix and Mash thingy works so well! I use an electric one from Braun and it is fantastic, but the one you have is simple and apparently does the trick perfectly – and the cleanup would be so easy! Oh, I am diggin' the Ninja blender…that's my next buy when my current Moulinex meets its "Maker". haha (Yes, I am binge watching your videos…I see one in the side menu for a Turtle Cheesecake. NOW, I finally see how this Foodi could change my cheesecake makin' skills!)
How long do you think it will take to reheat (steam) this in the Foodi? From fridge to table. Thanks
I made this sweet potato casserole for Thanksgiving and my family loved it! I was a little unsure about the balsamic and pepper flakes, but it was a hit. I made the casserole the day before, then added the topping and baked it the next day. It came out perfect. I also used your recipe to brine and cook a turkey breast, and it was juicy and delicious. My husband is loving all of the meals I've been making in the Ninja Foodi, and I give you and your recipes all the credit. Thank you!
Because I halved the recipe,I needed to remove ALL the liquid and add it back as I mashed. One cup of liquid is needed to come to pressure and that would be too much for half the recipe. Might have added to much anyway as the topping did not crisp up.
What would be a good dairy, coconut free option in place of the butter for the topping and the mashing?
Yum, my mouth is watering they look so good..
Louise, is there a reason to not go ahead and roast potatoes until done in the cooker? Or is it just your habit to do them this way?
That looks fantastic Louise! Making this for sure!
I recently got the 8 qt Ninja Foodi and I began watching your YouTube videos. So far I've made your pot roast recipes in the Foodi. The pot roast was great, my son-in-law said I did a "Throw Down" which I understand meant that it was better than his π. I enjoy your videos very much, you really explain things very well and your hubby does a great job in the video editing, very professional. I want to try some Mexican recipes on the Foodi and will share them with you. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
Can you tell me the ratios of basmati rice to water, i have tried to cook this a couple of times and turned it into slop, keep getting an add water error. I have tried to convert cups to ml and gms and must be getting it wrong. I used 185g rice + 300mls water, i have an 8qrt ninja. Love watching you cook but i am a bit scared to try your recipes untill i get a bit more experience. After all i can't even cook rice properly ha ha tee hee. Keep up the good work.
I have a question for you how do you know what is a good balsamic vinegar to buy I know real Italian balsamic vinegar can cost more car lol but how do you choose a good grocery store brand
ππππ½π₯π Awesome!!!
Can you use milk or cream in PC stage or is that a no no?
I make kind of a sweet potato souffle. However, I am going to it in the Foodi this year. i like how you prepared the sweet potatoes to be sweet and savory so I will incorporate that into my recipe. Great video.
Mmmm…I love sweet potatoes…never made casserole, though….Iβm the only one who eats them. Thanks, Louiseπ
Great videoππ
You are so AWESOME ty for sharing this would you believe I am 54 and just had my first sweet potato about 3 months ago π². In Canada we have had our thanksgiving already but I will definitely try this for Christmas. I love my foodi so much I wish everyone could have one it turns every one into a real cook oh and I learned something VERY important about the foodi … things cooked in it has no calories ππ€£π much β€ from π¨π¦
Looks amazing!
Thank you for sharing your recipes! I so enjoy your sight.
Thank you,
Karen
Wow that looks yummy
I'm noticing how much cleaner the outside of your ninja foodi is than my dad's lol. I have to clean up better
The gloves and what you're wearing make it look like there is somebody standing behind you pretending to be your arms.
GREAT idea for peeling, because I peeked I saw the end of this and BOY! it looks GREAT!
