Hello. I want to make this for Thanksgiving. Would it taste the same if I baked my potatoes and smashed them the day before and assembled and baked the casserole the next day?

What would one do as a main dish? This sounds fascinating, but I'm facing a bit of imagination failure in terms of what could possibly go with this sweetness. Corn bread? … Chicken drumsticks? Coffee? How far off am I? I literally have no clue, haha! Excited to try, though!

Ok, at first I thought this dish was kind of too much with the marshmallows but when I made one for Thanksgiving it was delicious and amazing! I also added a bit of orange 🍊 zest- gives a refreshing flavor. Making this dish AGAIN for Christmas. 😅

I am really looking forward to trying this out for Christmas. I had candied yams for Thanksgiving, though I want to try making a casserole instead. I'm half-tempted to add a pecan streusel over the sweet potatoes and maybe make a pattern with the marshmallows on top. Either way, I'll certainly try this out for the upcoming holiday season and give an update!
