Sorry I'm making so many comments. My next question is can the jar be like 3/4 full? Or even 1/2 full?
Then, I remember my friend telling me we had to listen for the pop. That way we know it was sealed properly. How would I know if one of them didn't pop?
That does look yummy, Miss Lori! I bet it's really good!

I just love doing things like this on a rainy day. Must be because I live in the desert.
Your video makes me want to make this! It would take us a couple years to eat it. Lol
Since I don't know much about canning, what is the shelf life before opening the jar? Then how long does it last in the fridge after it's opened? Thanks!

Oh! I've wondered if that "asperatis" worked? 😂 I think I might get one.
I've only canned once in my whole life! I enjoyed it. Me & my girlfriend made jalepeno jelly. It was soooo good. I put small jars in the Christmas stockings for the adults. I've wanted to do more & will be looking forward to the dill recipe

Hey Miss Lori! Yes, once again this takes me back to my Grandma Mary's house in Alabama. She canned so many things but one of my all time favorites was her pickled okra!! Oh my goodness, I could've polished off a jar in no time if she would've let me. LOL ; ) I didn't hear you mention how long you let them sit before digging into the first jar? Grilled hot dogs taste so delicious with mustard, raw onion and sweet relish…yum! Have a nice afternoon and tell Mr. Brown "hello". Big ((Hugs)) and Love from Texas!! xoxo : ) <3

Love your videos and trying out your recipes. Your Dishpan Cookies are still my "go-to" recipe when I want a little something sweet. 🙂 Have you ever made corn & tomato relish? My grandma used to make that.

Miss Lori, a recipe is just a guide. Mom and mr Grandma both said this. My Grandma used to get a whole bunch of green peppers. She would clean and slice the peppers. Then she used a 1-1-1 ratio. One cup vinegar, one cup sugar and one cup of water. Process for 10 minutes. My dad and myself would go there on a Saturday to repair paint or what ever she wanted done. She would have lunch meat sandwiches and she would give us each our own jar of those peppers. We would eat the whole jar. What memories we have. Thanks for sharing.
