It appears that the Canadian Instant Pots are different from the US models. My US model does not have a button to lift the pressure relief valve, instead, you simply rotate the valve 30 degrees. In addition, the front control panel does not have a knob, the front panel has a plastic membrane, and has buttons beneath.

hi again. i had a question about cooker. sometimes i am low on time and use the manual release immediately when the cooking is done. is this ok to do, would it cause any issues? I typically manual release for every dish i use in my pressure cooker to save time lol.

Ooh, lots of ginger in there.
While fresh ginger, onion, and garlic are preferable, I've been using pastes in my stir fries for quicker meals. It's still decent tasting. When I make a new recipe though, I use the real thing. Do you have an opinion on using ginger etc. pastes instead of fresh?

I've also been using Wei Chuan Sesame Chili Oil instead of regular sesame oil. Love the flavor.
