I tried this today and wasn't too satisfied with the way the sauce turned out. It didn't reduce well like a nice paste as seen in this video. Any ideas where I might have gone wrong? If it helps, I didn't follow the exact portions of ingredients because I was making with a smaller quantity of tofu. But I did like the way my tofu tasted and it was yummy! Thanks for the great recipe!

Can someone tell me How does a good tofu smell and look like, cause I bought one, it looked little yellow and has stinky smell that I can't bear at all even though the expiry date wasn't over.

Go by color and feel. When both sides look to be a similar brown color, then check for a feel of a crunchy surface and softer inside.
