Tiffany, We have had a pool for years. The weather being so unpredictable has a lot to do with the algae that is what’s causing the green. The best thing that you can do is add A strong algicide and keep it brushed on the bottom. Run your pump filter constantly and backwash and rinse. Do all this after you shock. It may take a few days but anytime the Chemicals are not balanced it will cause algae. I would definitely take The water to be tested that way you know what it needs. Always use a good strong algicide. I use one that normally works for about 90 days. Hope this helps.
The potatoes looked delicious! It’s so satisfying to clean up after a mess and see the kitchen all nice and clean again. 😍🤭
It helped our pool tremendously to just get in and walk along the bottom then clean filter often.
Happy Father's Day Gerry and his dad and your dad
Every video you post is a blessing thank you for going back to posting everyday
Add the Algaecide only my daughter said no other chemicals she thinks you have put to many things in. She said wait 6 days and keep adding in. Read directions.
We have a Sand Pump
Use Algaecide and you wait 6 days and use Alkaline and you shock it and use Stabilizer but ask pool person how much of each and how to do it this should clear you up! We have an above ground pool and have had no troubles. Keep chlorine tablets in your floater.
Happy Father's day Gary. Hope y'all have an amzing day. Fun video. Hugs friend Elissa modesto cali @elissa_tc
Happy Father’s Day blessings to your husband
I can't eat a thing unless I'm hungry. I will only eat one meal a day. I will be fine
When we had our pool we would put old socks on our hands and feet and jump in and scrub away all the green … it might sound crazy but it works !!!
I hope you get the pool figured out soon!
I think it’s so funny how pool water has to be just right to swim in and I grew up with my siblings swimming in ponds. That water was definitely icky. But we never had any problems with it. During the warmer months I don’t want very much to eat. Nothing really sounds very good and I definitely don’t want to cook over a hot stove. The brownies looked delicious 😋
I love Everleigh’s dance moves in the background!
Have you added muriatic acid? Also, we run our pump and keep up with chemicals even through winter so that it doesn’t turn green. Stays clear all year. We have a pool very similar to yalls.
If you want and have time go on Amy Maryon. Think I spelled her name correctly. Here onYou Tube.. check back on her videos a bit…Hubby and her had above ground pool green issues and as of late figured it out and seem pleased !!
Thanx for sharing and caring !
Happy father's day to Gerry, in Australia we don't celebrate father's day until September. Hope you get your pool sorted soon, love and hugs to you all xx
I would be so anxious having a pool and not being able to swim in it. I hope by now, you all have it figured out. (I know absolutely nothing about pools, sorry). It does look alot better in the video now that you have been scrubbing it.
Have you had your water analyzed? I strongly suggest you have that done or it will be fall soon!! 😜 My parents lived in Florida, as I am, and in their pool the more we swam, splashed and cleaned the filter over and over the cleaner it was. Every time it pored rain it had to be shocked. I know getting into a bad water situation you can get really sick. Happy Father’s Day to your hubby.🇺🇸🌴🦀
We got that pork loin not long ago. I had to add BBQ sauce. We did ours in the oven. Which at this heat has been abandoned for less hot options or no cooking options. We just got back from a father's day grilling and yes the rest of our hot dogs from I think Saturday is on like donkey Kong 🤣🤣🤣 and ice cream OF COURSE lol. We are camping again on the 4th weekend 🎉🎉🎉 Oh ya and next Friday simple Simon's pizza and no I'm not breaking #eat at home. We got kick back points for 30$ so gas prices are feeding us 4 ( of course the kids show up🤣🤣) for free
Have you tried a metal remover for pool? Sometimes that will restore the water back to normal!
I’ve seen on Facebook (so I really don’t know if it works) that people put a magic eraser in their pool and it clears the pool. Worth a try.
Is the pool pump working right?
our pool has been giving us a fit this yr also…so I feel ur pain and frustration!
Hey Tiffany. To fix your pool problem you need to stir the pool. It will take a few days to a week but with above ground pools, they tend to settle because the filter can't move the water enough. What I do with our pool is get in with a brush from Dollar Tree and scrub all the sides and bottom then jump around and move the water. The next day I get in and swim hard, stirring up the pool. Everyday, I repeat this process until it is clear. You should see the pool clear up, swimming daily keeps the pool moving and clear. If you are nervous about what is in the pool that might make the kids sick, keep the Littles out and have whoever is cleaning/stiring it, wear goggles and rinse off after they are done. Try not to get it in ears, mouth, nose etc.
You might consider a pool vacuum, they are pricey but a life saver. I am by no means a Pool Expert nor do I play one on YouTube. This is just how we have cared for our pool with a similar issue.
Go ahead and take the water sample to a pool professional. We had that problem too, and found out after getting a water analysis done, that the ph balance was way off. Got that straight and it cleared up overnight. Good luck!🍀
Happy Daddy's Day to Gerry and to all the dad's 😇😇😇. God bless you and your family. Have a blessed day 😇 Love you guys 😇
Happy father's Day Gary! Tiffany if you have a sand filter on your pool try changing the sand on the pool filter see if that helps get the pool clean Love yall!😃😁
I had this issue this year.. I bought HTH Brand from Walmart for only 11.00
flocculant drop out is what it was called it worked wonders. For 11.00 it’s worth a shot
To make bread less dense add a bread improver to the mix
We have had pools for over 20 years, that being said, change the sand in your filter, if the sand is dirty after sitting all year an working last summer you will never get it clear, if you have changed the sand, an put in algae killer etc like u said, is your pool shock the clear blue or just plain shock?, theres a difference, if all else fails take a sample to the pool store depending on the kind of algae like black , mustard or if u just need a clarifier. but i would change the pool sand first because the chemicals can get very costly, most times once u have changed it an checked your ph by the next day water is clear…
Have your water tested. I have killed myself trying to do it. Finally gave up & took a sample to the pool store. They told me the exact things it needed and within 12 hours it was crystal clear. They know their stuff. Save yourself lol just go!
How big is that air fryer and what brand
We have the same pool and had the same problem. We run the pump continuously day and night and my husband washes the filter in the morning and at night. We added a 1 pound box of baking soda, sprinkling all over the top of the water. Make sure you vacuum the bottom of the pool once a day because that's where all the YUCKY stuff settles. Hopefully this will do the trick. We were ready to give up and just take the pool down. Our water is now crystal clear. Also make sure to check the chlorine and ph everyday. Good luck. ❤ y'all
You probably did this already but when I'm opening my pool for new season I clean my filter like 4 or 5 Tim re s a day rinse it out good . Hope it gets clear soon. God bless
Please tell Hubby and his father! Happy Father's day 💙
I make a soup for me every week because I absolutely love soup because if I didn’t I would snack and drink coffee lol
Happy Father’s Day Gerry! Tiffany the turkey loin are also delicious I get them from Kroger.
