I've watched many of the better western movies I can find on youtube, and none of the schlock. This movie is amongst the best. It's quirky, off-the-wall, and downright funny at times. There are some remarkably subtle touches that are almost missed as they aren't played for the sledge-hammer gag. About that jazz soundtrack. I've tried mightily to like jazz over the years, and I just cain't do it, no way no how. I'm still into metal and that's all there is to it. But when it comes to this movie, all that jazz is just a perfect match. Butch Cassidy also had jazz I think, but it's extremely rare in this genre, as it should be. Best of all, I had never heard of this movie and I'd not previously seen Dean Martin in any movie. A nice surprise!
The rare breed, James Steward would be nice to see
