People don't realize is that if they have a "convection" setting on an oven or countertop oven they automatically have an air fryer and don't have to buy one. Only downside I have found is that the corn tortilla always falls apart. Love filling my tacos with black bean corn salsa. Can't wait to try the polenta. I save all scraps from my veggies and then freeze them to make homemade vegetable broth later. The skins from onions, garlic, tops of carrots, peppers, etc… When I get an accumulation, I then make broth and then compost the vegetables after.

Love my air fryer, use it all the time! Really good for air frying gold potatoes that have been steamed until tender in a instant pot then sliced into six steak fries each. I cook them on 400 for anywhere from 18 to 23 minutes depending. There is a wire rack you can get on amazon that fits in the air fryer basket to create a second level in it and I highly recommend getting one to help separate the food so it cooks better without having to shake the basket. I also find making oil free corn chips in the air fryer a lot easier than in a regular oven. I line the the bottom of the basket with corn tortilla quarters then put the wire rack in and put tortilla quarters standing up in between the wires and can make 10 tortillas at a time (40 chips) fry them on high for about 7 or 8 minutes then check them and take out the rack and finish them in the rack for a few more minutes. Also if you can find the El Milagro corn tortillas they really have a great corn flavor, although they do contain some sodium.

Who cooks cauliflower in their air fryer, lol! That and more! I received one as a Christmas present and raided the veggie bin to experiment. Cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, parsnips, kale, mushrooms, tofu, as well as potato and sweet potato. Great for reheating roasted veggies. Never thought about making chalupa or polenta in it. Expanding my air fryer horizons! Thank you 😃
