I know salt n' pepper are standard for pot roast or steak. but putting some cajun powder mix in that taste better and some garlic underneath. and FYI, lemon grass works better than rosemary.
This is a terrible recipe. Brown the meat off first, Cook up the onions and garlic up. deglaze the pan with some red wine and then throw all that into the slow cooker. Then fill with stock until just covered.Then continue as instucted. You will get so much more flavour out of it.
You should sear/fast fry in the pan first and season it with garlic and onion powder. Then do what you did.

am guessing this can potentially serve anywhere between 2 and 6-8. depending if u eat it with a baguette as shown or just by itself
