I love mushrooms. I cannot get enough of them. I never thought of eating them with oatmeal. This recipe is like how I make myshroom soup except without oats or nutritional yeast. Abd I never soaked mushrooms. I do soak oat groats overnight.
I use the recipe from the book prevent & Reverse heart disease, similar to yours, except the addition of rep peppers and green onions. I cook on stove top for 15 minutes, do not soak the oat groats, and they turn out great. There is alittle bite to them, but I like that. I unfortunately can’t get dried mushrooms where I live, so fresh will have to do. Thank you. Oh, will you replay the 7 day on you tube?
I’m going to make this for my dad, when he’s able to eat more fibre after bowel cancer surgery . I’m in charge of his food for a while. Thank you for a great recipe!
Haven t tried yet, but am seeing much higher cook times for oat groats in the instant pot in other online instructions. Like 40 minutes or higher.
