It’s starting to warm up here. Spring is on its way but I’m still needing some hot hearty soups to warm me up. This one is a keeper! Hope you’ll give it a try!

Hello Flo and Dude, there’s a farmers market that’s about a 15 minute walk and I’m going there to get most of the ingredients for this yummy soup. I do have a question about soups, so what makes a soup a bisque?
Thank you, you two are a gift to me and I am thankful!

Is Couscous anything like Orzo? I've never had Couscous. Definitely making this soup. I don't have any Couscous so I might use the Orzo. Thanks again Flo for another great recipe. 🙂

Yes, we call it half and half, in the US too! And btw, I cook my couscous in whey that is left over from making Greek style yogurt in my Instant Pot. Nice flavor when paired with Moroccan or Persian stews.

Flo, I also am lactose intolerant. I don't know you can get it in Canada but here in the states you can purchase a lactose free half and half. You might do some research so Dude can enjoy many things without fear.

    Wonderful yet again flo,
As I am now type 2 diabetic…herditary type,I replace most pasta ,rice ,etc with brockli rice or cauliflower rice ,or the Mediterranean style.
    It's a great sub for potatoes too,and a great thicker .
I can adapt this to suit .

Looks like it would be a perfectly wonderful soup even without the diary. Suggestion to reduce the glug glug and splashing when you pour in the stock, pour with the opening at the top of the container instead of the bottom so that the outgoing stock and the incoming air can share the opening.

Hi Flo! This soup looks delicious! I usually don't have milk or half and half..if I use whipping cream and the soup is too thick, could I add more broth or would you recommend water? Also, how much parmesan would you recommend to add? 🙂 Thank you!

Wow!! Flo, this soup looks amazing! Very simple, quick, and healthy. A tip for you pouring those broth containers, pour them upside down.

This would be good with barley too but, I love couscous too! I've never tried the pearl kind. Do you know if it is the same as "Israeli" couscous?
Dude, great camera work and editing. I appreciate the close-up and the camera went exactly where my eye wanted to go. Loved the "vibe".
