    My recipe is, 1 lb of jimmy dean’s Hot sausage. Brown. Next, I add 3 big spoons of flour. Stir, coating the sausage, add 1/2 gallon of cold milk. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve on tots, toast or biscuits

    I know this is an older video, but just came across it today, so just wondering if you have tried making this while using the sausage grease that it leaves. As I always found if you use the higher fat spicy sausage you can make the gravy even easier instead of using the butter. On the other hand that does look really good lol

    I like to add a splash of real maple syrup, no flavored corn syrup, to my sausage gravy to add a little sweetness to the gravy to counter balance the red pepper flake. Another trick I learned was to use a can of condensed milk to the gravy along with the other dairy.
