I made this earlier this evening. I left out the two tins of tomatoes but used some old BBQ sauce to add a certain tang to the whole dish. And I threw in a tin of baked beans. Why not, eh? I also used hot chorizo which also helped to spice up this excellent dish. Absolutely delicious. I had to stop my self from devouring more than two large dishes of this hearty, beany meal. I have been reading the comments but cannot see if you can freeze or not, also I have not chorizo so that will be missing and someone asked can you use alternative beans other than those mentioned above. Sorry for all of the questions.

That's never serving 10 people. 😂😂 Also substitute a can of those tomatoes for some stock. You can possibly cook that in an hour and germt rid of all that acidity.
