I take an inventory around the 25th of the month of the meat in the freezer and all of the pantry items that I need to use up. I use the inventory to do my monthly meal plan which I try to finish by the end of the month so that I am ready to go shopping in the coming month and get all the things that we need to make the meals. It really helps to plan the meals and know what we have for the month so that I can plan the meals to eat for the coming month and then I stock up on the things that are at the lowest prices for the coming month because we don't need to get any of those expensive items and can wait for the lower prices.

I have a Carrie Elle meal planner that has inventory sheets in the front, so I use those. I have an upright freezer, so pretty much I can see my meat and frozen veg and fruits. What I inventory is the meals that I make and freeze. I usually make a full recipe ( even though I live alone, ) and freeze the remainder in one or two serving containers. That way if I donβt feel like cooking, I have meals ready. I usually plan a βfreezer mealβ once a week and rotate with new meals that way.

Girl, you're so organized lol. I have a small kitchen so I had to make a pantry in my basement. I have a huge stockpile that I keep rotating products. I have 4 freezers (I know lol) and I've been trying to do inventory. I started last summer but fell off the wagon. I need to redo it but just the thought of taking EVERYTHING out makes me cringe. I like your list pad for the freezer. I use a whiteboard and have different categories. I just love seeing how other people organize their pantries. Thanks!!!

You have no idea how much I needed this! For inspiration and moral support to keep going with my MAJOR inventory project. I've been ordering my groceries for delivery since I fractured a hip 2 years ago. I order canned goods and then can't find them because I have stashes everywhere (in my mobile home) so I order them again. My freezers are so jammed you can hardly close them and I don't even know what's in them any more. Thanks for showing me it CAN be done! BTW, I found 5 (FIVE!) cans of French onion soup. 61 total cans of various soups and broths. I can and will overcome the chaos! Just like I learned to walk again.

I have a large pantry downstairs and a medium size upstairs I keep them well stocked and rotate whenever I buy new. We don't do much meat so my freezer (I have 3) 1in the kitchen and 2 in my garage, I make a lot of sauce and beans and soups and store in containers in the freezers, I buy a lot of vegetable clean and dry and store in freezer bags.
