My marathon training is picking up, so that means lots of extra carbs for me! I went to Aldi and Meijer for groceries this weekend.

    Nice haul Jaime! 😍
You found some very good deals! 😘 Especially on the eggs!
Congrats on the new marathon! 🤗 You train so hard but you know how to keep your body fueled for these long hauls! 👍
It's nice when you find new items to try! Most of us get stuck in a rut and eat the same thing over and over.
I'm on My Recipes too. But it doesn't stop there. My favorite site is Betty Crocker, you can find so many recipes there for all occasions! I'm also on a lot of other sites too. I'll have to get you a list! 😉
I love finding new recipes! Making something new and actually liking it! 😚
My sister and I went to Schlotzsky's last week as Wednesday is pizza, buy one and get one free! And if you've never had their pizza dough, you're in for a treat! The dough is different from the sandwich bread dough and 10 x better!
They have several different kinds of pizza but this time I just got cheese. It has 2 kinds of cheese on it. I did that because I usually take most of it home. I had picked up some Canadian bacon at the store and some mozzarella cheese. We also had some black olives and mushrooms. I already had a nice layer of cheese then I cut up the Canadian bacon and added it plus the mushrooms and black olives. Then I topped it with the mozzarella cheese and heated it up! It was so yummy! 😋 This is the best pizza dough I've ever had! And I like getting the plain cheese pizza since I usually take so much home and I can add all my favorite toppings!
My sister and I are eating different things but not cooking big meals. I went to Walmart and found the breakfast bowls marked down to $2.00! (normally $2.92) I got a couple of them to have on hand for breakfast. Then I went back to Walmart the next week and they were marked down again! 😘 Now they were $1.74! I got one with sausage for my sister to try and the rest were bacon. But when you think about it, especially with the price of eggs, it's a great deal for bacon, eggs, potatoes and cheese! I don't know if I could make that for $1.74. And they're good! It's Jimmy Dean's breakfast bowl. And it's a decent size bowl! If I make toast to go with it then I only eat half of the bowl. Then I have breakfast for 2 days!
I don't know if Walmart is going to stop carrying these breakfast bowls but currently they have an end cap of the freezer section full of them! Plus they have more in the regular part of the freezer.
I was so tickled when I went back and the price had gone down! 😁 I think I picked up 10 last time but I'm anxious to see if they go down again.
But this is so convenient for me and easy to heat up. And there are mornings when my sister needs something quick and thought this would be a great option for her!
I really like them and realize how long it would take for me to make them. Cooking the bacon and potatoes would take a while and putting it together with the eggs and cheese. I used to make these bowls all the time and it's a lot of work. But now I can let Jimmy do it and save me some time and effort!
I love breakfast bowls and other meals in bowls, just like you do. And this is so convenient and really helps, especially when you need a quick breakfast! And with the price of eggs, it's a win-win!
But I'll keep checking the price when I go to Walmart again.
My sister and I went to Austin last Friday because I got injections in my back. So we stopped at Cracker Barrel and had a nice meal there! Then a friend called and wanted to meet for dinner so we went back to Austin to Catfish Parlor and I had my favorite fried oysters and coleslaw! I just got half a dozen oysters instead of the huge platter with 3 sides. Our friend only wanted 2 sides so she gave me the coleslaw.
We eat out some but this small town doesn't have a lot of options. It's nice to go to surrounding towns and have other options. Plus we usually bring home leftovers and we have another meal from them. Anything we can do without cooking helps us out a lot!
You may be hungry after reading all this, I know I am! So I'm going to start breakfast and see what else unfolds today!
Thanks for sharing another great video! 🥰

I recently did my first 10km hike and at 212 lbs( down from over 260 lbs) and almost 52 years old …..also it kicked my butt.
I normally do four 6km hikes a week…I need a day between to recover, I suffer from a degenerative spinal disorder but want to stay active.
I'm hoping to hit 160 lbs eventually….I'm definitely taking the tortoise route but slow and steady should win my race.
