I made peach jam and blueberry jam today. They turned out perfect. My 1st time making peach and the hardest part was keeping myself from eating the peaches.
Becky I want to start an herb garden. Is it best to start with seed or plants?
You should watch Cross Legacy. She washes all produce in short vinegar soak, then air dries before putting into refrigerator. Helps inc produce longevity time
Rhubarb loves sun and water
You will get pups off it eventually
My great grandfather cultivated his owner variety as he was a market gardener with his own land, we have it in our yard.
Becky have you tried to freeze dry the sliced tomatoes? That would be an interesting experiment.
Just curious, were you picking at Roloff farms from the “Little People “ fame? I haven’t watched the show for a few years and I vaguely remember that they were selling the farm because none of the family seemed to get along. It’s a beautiful area!
May I ask you (or anyone else here) why you use the silicone bags in the freezer? I noticed that you have chopped onions in a ziploc, then put that inside a silicone bag. Can you enlighten on how you use these? TIA.
I would love to see you pick the rhubarb and make a compote out of it 😀 I used to eat rich yogurt with rhubarb compote and would love to see it made!
❤❤❤
How do you manage everything with a young baby?
I have trouble hearing your recent videos. The sound is a lot lower than it used to be.
I hear that the tomato 🍅 pie is delicious and I first had a opportunity seeing one prepared by Meg on the Hollar homestead channel another absolutely amazing Cook and Mother
I'm not a pro gardener at all, but we have had rhubarb since I was very young. We lived in Spokane, WA. When my husband and I bought our first house, my mother split her rhubarb and we planted it in spring, which I was able to harvest twice that summer from that split bulb. I let it go to seed and had an abundant harvest the next year! If you let it go too long, it loses its flavor and the stalks start to split. We always said the redder, the better! And yes, it loves water! We have since moved to Oklahoma and my mother brought me some more split bulbs. We planted them immediately and they love the 80-100% humidity we've had all summer!
Thanks for sharing.
Plumpie, plumsauce (like applesauce), plumwine, plumcroissant, dried plums,…
I made your tomato pie recipe last summer after seeing it in your videos and it's one of our favorites now too! Thank you so much for sharing it!
Try caramelized onions. Use a half a cup of mayonnaise and a half a cup of sour cream.
You may know this already, so sorry if this is a repeat, but I learned with my rhubarb plants not to cut them, you pull them and the plant will do a lot better. Also that rhubarb looks ready to harvest to me!
Hi I am from the uk has anyone tried the tomato pie with out the pastry as i have a family member that's not allowed pastry.
Your bakes and meals look fabulous xx
Hi Becky because of your videos I want to learn how to can pickles , is it necessary to buy the salt specifically for pickling? Or can I use regular salt ?
Beautiful peaches 🍑
I'm sure with over 800 comments already, someone has probably mentioned this, but my best guess on the tomatoes you sliced and salted over the sink and said you thought they were Dr.Wyche's, I would guess they are Pineapple from the sunny yellow color with red streaking. Dr. Wyche's tends to be a bit of an orangy-yellow without the red streaking. Both are lovely tomatoes, but I am partial to Pineapple for its meatiness. It is one of my faves, second only to Pork Chop tomatoes. 😊🍅
