This was just outstanding! You helped me seal the deal on which Instant Pot to purchase, and this one is a winner! Thank you for being so concise and to the point, getting right down to the business of walking through the details.

My wife and I bought the same model, duo, evo plus 6 quart last week. Twice using the saute feature on high to brown meat, we got a C8 message. We looked up trouble shooting and it says: "WRONG INNER POT IN COOKING BASE. INSERT CORRECT POT". Of course we only have the pot with handles for this unit. The only way we could clear that was unplug the unit. The cancel button did not work. Have you, or anyone reading post had this problem? Every thing else works. We did the water test twice, before and after the C8 message. We did pressure cook eggs on the 5-5-5 directions. We pressure cooked pork and sour kraut yesterday……, after I had to pull plug from the C8 message from sauteing. Except for the C8 message from sauteing, it seems to work.
Any comments on this C8 message????
    Thanks,
    Don from Milwaukee

Thank you for a great review. I went out to Bed Bath and Beyond today and bought this beautiful Pot. I used a 20 % coupon also. The first thing I fixed was Extra meaty port ribs for Albertsons. Used the Pressure Cooker function. OMG, they were awesome.

Thank you for this great review! I just received an Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus for Christmas and was a little intimidated by all the features and functions, that is, before I watched your very helpful review (tutorial).

Hi! I have a question, I got the Duo Evo Plus last month. Just wondering if you can hear a slight hiss on yours where the inner pot handles stick out? I returned my first one because of this. Got the replacement one 2 weeks ago and it is making a slight sssssssss sound where the handles stick out. It comes to pressure and there’s no steam leaks or condensation and it cooks fine. I’m just wondering if that slight ssssssss sound is from the new design where the handles stick out of the side of the IP. The model is so new I’m not finding lots of answers online. Hope you can help. Happy holidays!

Hey Jeff…love your videos. I am using my Duo Evo Plus for the first time and when I choose sauté, It shows the timeline heating up, but it gets to the third bar and just keeps flashing. Is it supposed to keep flashing until you turn it off?

Got this pot today and all of my extra insert pots are unusable, 3 extra pots total. They fit fine but you get a C8 error about a minute after pressure cooking starts. According to Instant Pot support you have to buy the same pot with the handles as a replacement which is not available as of yet. So as pretty as this is, it's going back. I depend on multiple inserts to get dinners ready for my family. And I adore my nonstick insert too much so going to get an Ultra instead!

Edited: contacted IP support and they have NO plans to sell replacement pots like these with the handles for this version… This is their most expensive model too! Be aware!
