Lovely recipe.
I haven’t been making much soup, but I am definitely going to try this one. 💜
What a tasty and delicious looking soup Jane, thank you for sharing. Brilliant change from toast or bread with the cheese scones and very filling. xx
Thank you
I really do covet that instant pot. Thought I have got 3 slow cookers all in the laundry because there is no counterspace for them and there happens to be a big handy shelf there. I think with a pressure cooker thing you really do need ventilation. I do have a really nice slow cooker with a built in digital timer which is great but boy is it slow. 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high for most things. I'm always scared that these pressure cookers are going to explode. I used to make cheese scones but I find they do not freeze all that well. I like to freeze them after being baked. I guess the reason my ones where so plain is I used the cheapest cheese not the fancy stuff you got. Anyway I baked mine in my muffin tin trays which are a bit of a pain to clean and they would always stick. So anyway for those reasons I gave up on making herb cheese scones. I think my consistency was also wrong. I think I added too much milk. By the way I forgot to say I grew quite a few spring onions and apparently you can just chuck them in all sorts of things, scones, omelettes and so forth. I certainly never in a million years would take any sort of liquid thing as a mobile food type thing. Flasks leak I could never. A stick blender looks super useful but its not in the budget at this time.
Lovely video! I'm sick with covid and your videos are just uplifting my mood. Cheers from Canada
Hi Jane, thanks for the recipe. Leeks are extremely expensive here, can we just use onions or should we use scallions? What do you think?
Looks delicious!
That soup and scone meal looks delicious!! My favorite soups: potato soup, split pea soup, taco soup, and vegetable soup. Now I’m hungry:)
I can't wait to try the recipe my favorite is chicken soup.
I was watching this, while sipping on some cream of tomato soup and munching on a grilled cheese sandwich – a very American combo! But I'm glad we're getting into soup "season" here. I love all kinds of soups!
Looks delicious ! I must try making these scones !

Your soup and scones look delicious! 😋
Frugal Food on Friday is a must!! Favourite soup is butternut squash and sweet potato. I precook the butternut squash and sweet potato in the oven on a baking tray in chunks with a little olive oil and an onion cut in wedges then add to stock in a saucepan with half a teaspoon of dried chilli flakes and fresh coriander or flat parsley. It can be blitzed so its smooth or left chunky. Add a teaspoon of natural yogurt as a garnish.
Thank you for sharing this delicious soup and cheese scones!

Soup sounds yummy, I love soup for lunch especially in autumn and winter. Guess what I will be making this weekend, yes that’s right this soup. I have all the ingredients in my fridge and cupboard so it will be on the menu tomorrow.
I notice the subscribers are going up more and more people benefitting from your wisdom.
Looks so tasty. I make split pea soup or navy bean with ham have it for lunch or dinner! I also freeze some for those days I want something really quick for dinner.
I love soups, sweet potato with coconut milk and chili flakes is probably one of my winter faves
I make Leek, Butterbean, lemon and parsley soup.
Love to see you using an Instant Pot. It really lessens the cooking time and I feel it intensifies the flavors. One of my favorite soups to make is vegetable soup. I use whatever vegetables I have on hand with my home made stock. Sometimes, I add a bit of beef or chicken, fresh herbs and Parmesan cheese. Your cheese scones look wonderful!
Great video Jane, I love a bottom of the fridge soup or pasta dish.
Borscht is one of the family’s favorite that I make. Will definitely be making your lentil soup. Those biscuits look like I could definitely eat more than one at a meal 😋
I just made a batch of carrot orange soup and froze it in single serving lots to enjoy throughout the winter … had a lot of carrots that I had to use up so this made the most sense. YOur cheese scones look yummy. I will definitely give those a try. Thanks for sharing the recipe
I love a fruit scone but seeing you make cheese scones has inspired me to have a go at making some. Perfect food for the cooler days xx
