I always think of smoked sausage or andouille (that comes in a link) with Red Beans and Rice. I'm sure that's good, too. When we visited New Orleans years ago, the food was the best part!

Thanks Tammy for promoting the Rada Chef knives . I got the smaller version with the special handle. I love it. ! Not so intimidating as the big one. Just right. It's great to see you a little more. You always make my day.

Hey Ms. Tammy and Chris. I just finished watching the replay of your premiere video here on your YouTube Channel from nine hours ago. This Red Beans & Rice recipe looks so delicious. I think adding the hot Swaggerty's Hot Breakfast Sausage in this recipe was a magnificent idea.

The bean situation is confusing. I thought you're supposed to soak them 24 hours or more, drain it and rinse them every 6 hours – then drain and rinse before you cook them – cook about 10 minutes without the lid to release toxins. Drain it, rinse and then put them back in the pot with fresh water to cook- in order to avoid digestive issues. This is what I do.

Looks delicious! I love red beans and rice. We fix it quite often using Andouille or smoked beef sausage. It’s always a crowd pleaser! Never thought to try it with Swaggerty’s. We will have to try that. Thank you for the recipe and the suggestion to use the crock pot! God bless!

This looks like a great recipe 😋. Our recipe is slightly different that I came up with several years ago. I experimented until I got what I considered the perfect beans and rice. The ingredient that was a must have for beans and rice is SMOKED PAPRIKA 2 TBS, SAUSAGE OF YOUR CHOICE 1 LB., 1 MEDIUM ONION, CHOPPED, 1 SWEET PEPPER CHOPPED, 1 GARLIC CLOVE MINCED. 1 CAN EACH OF BLACK BEANS, LIGHT KIDNEY BEANS, DARK KIDNEY BEANS.
ADD 1 PINT JAR OF HOMEMADE SALSA
ADD SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
THIS CAN BE MADE IN 30 MIN
    BROWN YOUR SAUSAGE FIRST!
    1. CHOP ONION AND PEPPER
ADD TO EXTRA LARGE SKILLET OR WOK MED HEAT, ADD 1/2 CUP OF WATER COOK AND STIR UNTIL WATER IS GONE ADD GARLIC.
    2, COOK YOUR RICE NOW!
    3. ADD 3 CANS OF BEANS, 1 JAR OF SALSA, 1 LB. OF SAUSAGE, WE PREFER ( LARGE LINK SMOKED SAUSAGE) DICED, OR ADD BROWNED GROUND SAUSAGE. ADD 2 TBS. SMOKEDPAPRIKA ( MORE OR LESS)
    SMOKED PAPRIKA. SALT, PEPPER.
PEPPER CAN BE 🔥HOT MILD, OR NONE. STIR WELL AND LET SIMMER COVERED, FOR 15 MIN.
SERVE WITH SHREDDED CHEESE OVER RICE , CHIPS ON SIDE.
We have this every week, it a family favorite. We have used just aboout every kind of ground meat and sausage with this recipe, They are all fantastic. Chicken, turkey, pork or beef.
We have tried several of your recipes and they are always superb 👌
    Nothing like good home cooking.
