I have a lot of the same products, admittedly because I watch too much YouTube. It was all fun and games, following along, calculator in tow, until I got my total of roughly $668. ā˜ I am not a MUA, I think I enjoy learning about & collecting makeup more than actually wearing it, now that I think about it. If I take into account all the makeup I own, I could probably do drag looks on my whole neighborhood for Halloween & still have left over.Ā
I didnā€™t dare add the collections that are shelved for so called ā€œspecial occasionsā€. This is the intervention I secretly needed. šŸ¤£
I really checked myself & nearly wrecked myself. šŸ˜©Just wanted to say thank you; You look great & your purchases are obviously beyond justified. Truly therapeutic experience.

I totally enjoyed this video! Iā€™d like to see a most and least expensive look. I love those Sigma sticks. Ironically I literally just did the same eyelook with that Revlon quad and the Sigma Earthen shade. It looked amazing and stayed out all day. I love how effortless those Sigma primers make the whole process quick and easy. I believe those Revlon quads (I have all 6 of them) are very similar to the Tom Ford quads except the Revlon ones are easier to use.

I know there are tons of good drugstore brow pencils, but the Benefit Precisely My Brow is my go-to and I only purchase it during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty so it's not too expensive.

I did a no-makeup face today which is very minimal, and thought I would see how much it costā€¦ $176.45 not including taxes and I only use two brushes and one sponge. I also used my blush ( tower 28) as a lip color. Just to look like Iā€™m effortlessly good looking but not wearing makeup really. šŸ˜† yikes

I love that you added the cost of the tools you are using. So many people overlook that and it adds up so fast but good brushes are a necessity for makeup challenged people like myself

I love that you mentioned trying to dupe out a fav product & ending up spending way more in the process. My fav brow pencil is from colour pop which absolutely kills me because I do not & have not supported them for years. I tried duping those pencils with so so many others & spent way too much to just eventually cave & go back to cp. šŸ˜’ It kills me, but if I need to buy a couple $6 brow pencils from a brand I hate every few mos, so be it.

The one and only non drugstore item I'm currently using is IT Superhero. I just won't do the prices– I can get the same results and longevity for way less. Pretty packaging is worth a good swoon though

Doing this same look with affordable ( drugstore) products would be interesting. Of course you would still add in the price of your tools. I think it would be great for us who can't afford Pat McGrath, Charlotte Tilbury ect.)

Be THANKFUL for your aggressive mailman. I've come back from running an errand had my box(es) right at the top of my steps to the porch. You think they would put them to the side behind the rail.( alittle less obvious) OH WELL. GREAT VIDEO!!!

You CAN buy low cost items for a full face. I mean let's be real, drug store makeup items are getting better in quality and some prices are rising as well but still you can have a full face of makeup for 100 or less..

I think that MANY YEARS AGO Chloe Morello had a video where she took her most expensive and cheapest makeup and did 2 videos like most bougie and most affordable face of makeup šŸ˜ƒ I would love you trying doing the same! I also did a quick summary of what I used today and it came to almost 270 euros without tools, and I didnā€˜t wear blush or lipstick today. The brushes I used are not available anymore, but I would estimate about 300 euros with brushes and sponge (biodegradable sponge from Eco Tools – much recommend!). It adds up so quickly! Insane šŸ¤£

Great concept for the video. I think it's good to know how much we are really spending on makeup. Sometimes I (and I'm sure many other people) have a tendency to just spend, spend, spend and not really put a lot of thought into how much I'm spending. Also, wanted to say that I'm loving your Sunday Scents videos! I am also a vanilla fanatic, but was wondering if you are into Oud and if so, maybe that could be another video idea? Your favorite Ouds? I've been really getting into them lately and have found some really nice affordable ones on Amazon (my favorite being Oud Vanille by Franck Olivier). Or if you're into Arabian/Middle Eastern scents (which I think are the best), doing a video on your faves? šŸ™‚

Hi Lauren, I wonder if you'd be willing to compare the sigma concealer to one I got off Amazon, from Mineral Fusion? The MF is pretty good (but a lot cheaper) I'd like to know how the Sigma compares because you love it so much and I may want to get that one instead next time! I love the idea of most expensive face and cheapest face of makeup, too. Thanks so much for all you do, you're doing a GREAT JOB!
