This chicken couscous is one of my go-to meals, and as long as the boiling hot broth to couscous ratio is maintained, you can adapt this a thousand ways.
This was de-lish!!! Thank you Chef John!
5:41 So what you're saying is oil coating your couscous keeps it loose loose?
Just wonderful in so many ways – certainly delicious. Thank you so much.
Traditional Cous Cous is full of juice juice
I'm going to use this recipe this week.
No price up front. Just be honest about it!
Couscous is one amazing thing ❤️
I'm celebrating because there is now a gluten free version of couscous so I can make things like this!
Ok yum!

Just tried this and it was delicious. Thank you
Looks like delicous edible confetti
All those meals that people eat for "health" reasons like cous cous, quinoa, etc, are disgusting. Literally every preparation by every person I have ever tried, it's just wet, coarse sand.
Definitely add the fresh squeezed lemon juice
Made this, it was 👌
Dr Suess, Suess!
According to allrecipes "Take a break from pasta", they don't believe couscous is pasta!
Punch it
Chef John, can i suggest you some recipes to try out ?
I'm late to the Chef John party, but I'm sure glad I got here. Love the videos and food, I'm pacing myself so I don't watch them all at once.

Cous cous is one of our family's favorite hiking meals! We especially like pizza in a pot. Love this variation, will try it soon.. 🙂
It broke with heat…
God, please quit fucking talking like this. Your older videos didn't have this inflection so it's obviously a choice, it makes your videos unbearable.
Couscous is not pasta! C’mon chef John!
Swiss Steak … you have never done it.
Love couscous. Thanks!
Chef! Can you do us southerners a solid and make pea salad!!
So I made couscous for lunch today but not exactly as shown via recipe. So delicious though! It included shrimp, garlic, dukkah seasoning, fresh herbs and lemon and pine nuts. Basically technique + stuff in my kitchen= Fantastic!
Oh lort, I can't wait to make this! Lol, when he said " when it used to be okay to say that" referring to poor man's saffron! 😆
Some caramelize raisin saffron will make it a reel moroccan 🙂
Im going to make this with some grill charred chicken and peppers. Maybe some lemon too.
Hello, Can you make a recipe for a sweet apple Chiken sausage or marinade?
.
Ive just had some from the deli and i cant get over the flavor and am trying to recreate it,
. the pakage states it has skinless Chiken mapple syrup, raw sugar, dried apples, apple juice concentrate, sea salt, cinnamon, nutmeg.
Hope you get to make your own as i.will too!
too much oil
just use small ground bulgur 😁
Love your recipes, but I was scared when your chicken breast was still raw inside. 😖 Glad you cooked it longer in the saucepan and the chicken ended up being done and still tender. This is a definite try. Thanks for your video.
Thank you chef John I made this today but I used prawns and its incredible!
i also like to put kidney beans or black beans for protein with i'm doing a veggie version. and add fresh tomato at the end. and roasted almonds 🙂
yes thank you!! it's quick and not many dishes, just my kind of recipe. this will make my simple meals a lot better. i often do couscous but with only water, not broth.
hello from Vietnam
There is a word for semoule=semolina and that a rougher form for of flour more them pasta (here in france pasta are made with semoulina). Couscous is more a stew with meat(or fish)/veggie and spice and semolina is steamed on top of it. The recipe look nice but that not a couscous.
This is a daily staple for most morrocans and tunisians, its kinda like rice to them.
Chef you are telling me that you don’t skin your own chicken meat?
I just know they were aleppo chilli flakes at the end. I make something really similar frequently, but I like to use oregano and hit it with some lemon juice at the end!
Somebody had their way with that chicken
