Hubby and I are checking recipes for the Instant pot to see if we want to buy one, and spaghetti is a favorite, so I have checked a lot of versions for this recipe BUT, every spaghetti recipe I find the sauce is way too thin. (Of course, it is because of adding the liquid for the noodles to cook). But we love our sauce thick, so I don't think spaghetti would be a recipe I would do in the InstantPot. Also a question… I saw on another persons channel that it takes 30 min- 1 hr just to get the pot ready to even be able start the saute. Is this true? (doesn't seem so instant, HAHA) Thanks for sharing!

Hi, Tressa! I always enjoy the recipes you and Ella try in your kitchen. Thank you again for the great ideas. I think people cook things too long in the pressure cooker. Since the meat is sauteed before and the pasta will absorb the sauce and keep softening as time passes, 3 or 4 minutes (at the most) on high would do. Unless, there's a preference for very soft noodles. Also, I agree with gardenman3, putting the sauce on top and mixing it after the whole thing is done is way better.

Please don't be bothered by negative comments! It says much more about the person saying them than it does about you. In fact, it says NOTHING about you.
It's your kitchen, your family, cook using whatever ingredients you like!

8 minutes at high pressure when you add the spaghetti, natural release for about how long after you take the heat off? I would estimate about 10 minutes or so. Quote me if I'm wrong. I don't have an Instant Pot. I have an older Fagor Lux instead, and it works well.

I cut up & freeze my celery too…you just made me brave enough to try my Instant Pot…I didn't care for most of the recipes in the book that came with it, so I haven't used it yet…so, now I am going to try your recipe here…can't wait to try it now. Tressa, I can smell this sauce cooking from here…it looks sooo good…and don't apologize for using jarred sauce, I do too and then I add more of certain things to mine too. I don't eat spaghetti often either, but I gotta make this and freeze the rest for later. I love cheese in my food a lot too…I think if I could find a way to put cheese in desserts, I'd do that too…same with garlic. Your spaghetti looks so yummy!! Another great recipe and video, Tressa…I cannot wait to try this one out. Blessings and hugs to you and your daughter too. 💖🙏

Hi Tressa, This was SO interesting!! It’s a clever way to make spaghetti without having to boil the water!! BTW…is the instant pot just a pressure cooker or can it also be used as a crock-pot? Love, Mary ❤️😘❤️ PS…your manicure is so lovely!!

Spaghetti is something I'm wanting to try in the IP. I did another pasta dish a couple of weeks ago and I don't think I had enough liquid in it. Thanks for sharing Tressa! Looks yummy. Need some garlic toast to go with it.
